In Spain, I like coastal cities and towns in Asturias or Cantabria the best, such as Santander (and other smaller ones). The east coast of Spain gets too humid in the summer for my tastes. The Cantabrian Sea is nice and cold so it has a nice effect on the coastal weather in the hot summers.

@XxXAngelOfPainXxX I've never been to France yet, but a city like Nantes seems like a really nice city... next to the ocean, cool weather, nice French people, nice architecture, just perfect.
In Spain, I like coastal cities and towns in Asturias or Cantabria the best, such as Santander (and other smaller ones). The east coast of Spain gets too humid in the summer for my tastes. The Cantabrian Sea is nice and cold so it has a nice effect on the coastal weather in the hot summers.

I'm not a religious person either.
It seems after the French Revolution, religion has really taken a back seat in French society. French Canada still retains a bit more of the religious aspects of older French culture . But even there, religion isn't what it used to be.

in California we're frustrated by the oh so high cost of gas, which is currently $4 USD per gallon (one gallon is 3.8 liters). Thats cheap for Europe
That's why I say it's easier said than done. But it's ok, I can still visit Europe every now and then just for vacation. Living there is just something I've been contemplating.
Canada is doing pretty well though, though I'd need a visa to live there

For Canada, I think I can go without a visa for 6 months (no more than a year).

ohwestlondon, i would not mind them being in US because they are indigenious to the American continent. If you want to limit the numbers of immigrants and preserve your culture, you have to vote for the government that restricts visas and is super tough on immigration. Also, spread the word.
