finally someone else besides me uses the CH yoke!!! everyone uses the saitek yoke because they love the extra quadrant, good to see im not the only one, and yes i use 2 saitek quads myself, just prefer the CH yoke haha good vid!!
Great job i have a question though, if you are going to all that trouble, why not put the throttle quad in a more realistic position, on the captains right in the center console area? Not a crticism, just curious..
@wavelineboy896 I have a full time job, go to college at night, been happily married for a few years and have a cute chihuahua dog. I also enjoy dinning out, going to the movies and driving my Mustang. Does that qualifies as a "life"?. Thanks for watching my videos!
@rguilarte chick, mustang, school, pet care, and work? hahah dude fuck the wavelineboy respect man nice vid, i got teh same CH yoke and saitek throttle quad, what pedals u using dude?
Great set up!! Watching these videos (home flight sims) has inspired me to build my own. I have a set up with 3 x 24" monitors with (2) XFX HD 5850 crossfire, and I can't get my screen to look like yours. I've made changes to the CFG file (WideViewAspect = True) but that didn't change anything. How do you get your FSX cockpit view in full screen and look so fluid like? When I tried to do this ( full screen mode) it looks like my face is smashed up against the front windshield.
@diver3024 WideViewAspect = True was the only thing I edited in the .cfg file. Maybe you need a clean re-install of FSX? That fixes most of the issues.
not gonna lie its pretty damn cool but i feel like if you put in all that effort to build that thing and throw so much money at it wouldn't you be an expert on the damn thing? but really man good job nice setup
Nice. I have a similar setup, though with Saitek products exclusively. I tried the Trackir, but it gave me headaches with all the motion. After the first half-hour, I knew it just wasn't something I could get used to. Fortunately, with all the monitors I can still see most of what I want without using the hat switch.
Very nice setup you have there. But I'd mount the throttle quadrant on the desk's edge. Simlpy remove remove the screws from the bottom of the throttle casing and reattach the throttle to its mount so that the mount sits on the rear side of the throttle.
That way you can bolt it to your desk without having the levers up that high. Having them lower and a bit nearer to you feels way more realistic.
@Flyboy3245 3 monitors=$600, TrackIR4 pro=$139, MPanel=$200, CH Products yoke and pedals=$200, Saitek Throttle quadrant=$50 plus the cost of the PC (custom built by me)
It can be tough to adjust speed, altitude, heading in VC with TrackIR.
That's why I use voice control add-on called "Multi Crew Experience" (which you can try for free by the way). I just bark voice commands, and the virtual co-pilot flips and dials switches for me. As a bonus I can even talk to ATC via voice :-))
@bigsparrow1 Thanks for watching! I have MCE but it does not work with every add on. It is great for default planes and even the Level D 767. I also have the VRInsight M-Panel (shown on video with the blue led light screen) which lets you operate stuff like radios and autopilot.
@xander975 It is an aural warning incorporated in the MD80. It indicates that the stabilizer is being moved (trimmed) by the pilot or autopilot system. Thanks for watching!
Ooooh no. I was asking what that white thing is but i think its just the glare LOL. I have trackir 5 and so when i saw his, it didnt look normal.

whats that thing on your trackir thingy (on the monitor)?
theboi808 2 weeks ago
@theboi808 DO you see the thing on his hat... When he moves his head it moves the view of the screen. The thing on the monitor picks up the signal

I gotta question here
I just purchased xfx 5770 single slot which has got 2 dvi and 1 mini hdmi
can it support upto 3 monitors like ur setup?
MilesHigh02 10 months ago
@MilesHigh02 As far as I know the 5770 supports up to 3 monitors in Eyefinity mode. One of the outputs must be displayport though.
