A piano/keyboard has greater range than a guitar does, allowing both to play such busy parts simultaneously. If two guitars were playing lines as complex as theirs at the same time with a distorted tone, it would sound like crap, and most people would agree.
I could have been much more direct and responded to your comment as if it were an affront to me. However, judging by your profile, you are a pathetic pig of a person. I will leave you to wallow in your metaphorical filth.
What do you mean a greater range? If you mean octave ranege your totaly wrong.Because a guitar has many many many more octaves on it.If you mean effect wise, any digital effect that can be used on a piano can likewize be used on a guitar. And if you mean a range of techniques, the guitar you actually manipulte the string its self(pinch, natural, tap harmonics, tapping, hammer ons, pull offs. various ways of muteing, temelo systems) Where the piano(traditonal with strings.) you press the key.
Fuck electronic keyboards also. Instruments without strings, imitating ones with them(takes some of the feel away). And for the rest of your just runnin ya mouth comment, Fuck you.
Synthesizers are used for their own unique feel, negating your last argument. As for the range of a guitar versus the range of a piano, you would have to tune the E string of a guitar down 15 1/2 whole steps to meet the lowest note on a piano, and the high e string 4 whole steps up to meet the highest note. Theoretically you could do this, but then you aren't really playing a guitar, and you might as well turn the guitar into a few rubber bands using a shoe box as the body of the guitar.
In the simplest terms, a piano's range covers slightly over seven octaves. A guitar's covers only 5, tuned normally, on a 24 fret guitar. In this age of wikipedia, there really is no excuse for your ignorance.
awesome, I was able to see this tour the following year, a bygone era, they don't make hair like that anymore
