  • my frien you recomend solo x 12"? i have two L7 15" and i want one solo x 12"

  • @actorpornoxxx yes. it is a lot of power in a small package. it is great for installs with space issues

  • @KickerPimp thanks..

  • where u download it from cause i cant find it on google

  • @skits0xb00 it's not just a program you can download, you gotta buy it with the physical components. and it costs like $600-700

  • @skits0xb00 check your local car audio shop, most have them laying around, and will charge u a fee usually around 20-50 to meter your spl, and do it right.

  • whats the name of that program 2 chck thee db ??

  • @skits0xb00 Term Lab

  • stock alt?

  • yep

  • dude what Hz is your box tuned too? i'm @32hz and my solo x beats hard as hell! yet to get it tested though.. term labs are expensive!

  • its been a while since ive had this set up, but i want to say 45-48hz. i used it to compete with though too. term labs are insanely expensive, do a search and find a dB competition venue near you and go to one of the shows and compete / ask if you could test a little

  • they're good for a more than that. if you dont really have an alternator to suit your system the batteries add extra power to the system. allowing your amp to pull MUCH more power as you turn it up versus trying to pull all that power from just your starter battery and alternator. granted you should charge the system with a battery charger every now and then because the alternator cant handle all the batteries but yea, thats what the extra batteries do. hope that answered your question

  • very informative thank you, the reason i ask is because i have a t1 12 on a t1000bd and it hits softer then my old set up " p3 on 600 watts" but one problem is my box is too small...

  • yea, i would say the box probably has the most impact on loudness of any other aspect of a system. i have a solo x 18 that did a 144 dB in one box, and did a 149.1dB in another box, at the same power, which is a very large jump in loudness

  • damn, mine sounds horrible tho man it hits so soft it only hits half decent on a few songs, other tracks it dosnt hit at all, i cant hit any lows i can only hit mid bass...

  • 12's have trouble getting low anyways, especially at only 1,000 watts. if its a ported box, you might have the port(s) tuned too high, which could easily hurt the sub if you try to play low tones loudly.

  • do you think 2.5 cubic feet would be to much? and when im makin my port how do i know how many hertz the port is tuned to?

  • hi. i need some help i have a solo x 12 also running on memphis 2500 with 3 yellow top optima. i live in guatemala and im in spl competions here and the most i can get of it is 145.6 with a 2.6 c ft can u give me ur mesurements plz i need help

  • so how do those 2 extra batteries end up helping you on that monster kicker 2500.1?

I think it was good choice to have all the power available when the kicker 2500.1 needs it.

    what alternatoar do you have???

  • well, there's 2 runs of 1/0 ga wire hooking the starter battery to both of the Kiletiks and then to the the amp is hooked to one of the Kinetiks so it can pull power from all 3 and the alternator. the batteries provide all the power i really need. i got the second Kinetik because im going to be getting a solo X 18 this summer and running an IA 40.1 on it at 7,000 watts for competitions.

im not sure what alt i have lol. i wish i knew so i could make a decision on replacing it or not.

  • what about voltage drops do you get any?

  • ya man the batterys only help for a little bit a stock alternator like you have wasnt made to power three batterys. the only good thing i could see coming out of it would be when you dont have your car on it has more to draw from im guessing when your bumping for long periods of time like going in a 25 mph zone for 15 20 mins your bat gets drained and the alternator cant keep up but over all you have a nice easy setup throw a 200 amp alt in there then you could add on another 3 subs man :)

  • the only thing i can say about voltage drops is i havnt actually measured with a meter, but my voltage meter in the dash display still drops over long periods of high power output.

10forswing: thats kind of what im thinking, the batteries help, but eventually the alt isnt gunna be able to charge them anymore and they're just going to die. so yea, this summer, i probably will end up getting a 200 amp alt.

i wont need 3 more subs once i get the 18 dude, im only shootin for a 150 lol

  • or just charge them, once a week or so, but a battery charger at autozone , walmart.

    and charge your batteries periodicaly.

    that can help you too.

actually i have a 260 amp alternator but since I dont drive frequently enough at high speeds=hig rpms, mostly I drive in the city. I am not able to properly charge my battery.

so I will get a battery charger and charge my batt once a week or so.

  • I never like to mention this , but i do have an iraggi high output alternator "amputator series" 260 amp alternator.

and you are right unless you go on highway you wont charge your batteries properly with an alternator not even if you have a 300 amp alternator.

one option, I will advice is a car battery charger and once a week charge all your batteries so that you can always have them at top stored power.

    my 2 cents

  • ya that would be a good idea if you charged them less work for the alt to do just help maintain that voltage iv had some problems with my car im not sure what to do... i have to kicker cvr 12s and im going to add two more (there cheap off ebay lol) but i was wanting to add a HC alt to my 97 3.0 taurus i just bought but i cant find one for it and im not sure how many amps i want i did the rms/max times the fuse rating to get an idea of the draw but im still unsure any ideas?

  • ok so you want to have 4 12" CVRs, they will need about 400 watts each, so basically you will need to produce 1600 watts rms.

you will need a good solid amp that can do 1500 watts rms.

about that taurus, many of those taurus come with a 135 amp alternator, which if this is the case it can easily support and extra battery. and you could avoid buying an expensive alt.

many alt. have their ratings in the alt it self.

and I will buy a charger 55 bucks and recharge my batt once a week

  • the alt i have is either a 95A or a 130A, i dont know which, and i cant find where its listed. im on the highway quite a bit when im home over the summer, but not really when im at school for most of the year, and i cant put a battery charger on it here at school. so summers, a bat charger would be fine, but at school for 8ish months a year, a high output alt would be more helpful. ill have to look into pricing for both a high power alt, and a bat charger
