As a Catholic, you biological family is the antithisis of being a follower of God. I can't imagine throwing out my own child for being gay. If I ever have kids and one is gay that's still my child. That being said, I think you're an anazing person and stay strong.

hi tobias, thank you for sharing your story, it is obviously a very moving one. my only coment would be that i don't see anything complex or complicated : it is on the contrary very simple. you have suffered, and probably still suffering, a very bad case of abuse, of hate, of denying your right to be a loved human being. this kind of story overturns my stomach. i don't know who or what we must thank for, that kept you alive. and i hope he/it still has you under his/its gard. hugs, from France.

I feel very sorry for your family. You are obviously an incredibly strong young man and deserve to be loved for all that you are. I've come to realize that the family that is most important is the one that you choose and build, not the one that you're born into. I wish you nothing but happiness.

What your family did is not only wrong, it's illegal. It's called child endangerment and neglect. You're probably better off from getting away from them but your parents should have been arrested and prosecuted. I wish you the best as you move forward Tobias.

What is wrong with them? If they cannot love their son for who he is, then they are not parents, just merely the people who gave life to him. Religion is brainwashing, contradictory, and somewhat evil in most cases. A book is telling people that they are not allowed to accept their own child. Wow, why is this considered "holy?"

i want to give you a big hug so bad ...i will never understand how an "individual " will let his 12 yrs old kid out of the house..i cant even call them humans or even more parents...but you should always know that there are people out there from all over the world that they dont even know you but still love you !!!
