You may want to re-watch your own video. There is no mention of fluoride or aspartame in this video. This video is all about the myth that saturated fat clogs your arteries and causes heart disease and every other disease under the sun. Which was never proven. It was a hypothesis that the medical community ran with and promotes even still today after it has long since been proven otherwise......and yes I do use fluoride free toothpaste....thanks for your concern.
@samherb1 Since when is "fluoride" and "aspartame" considered FOOD? I would list it under "Drugs".
BTW most autopsies from heart attacks reveal that the "client" died from animal fat aka saturated fat, plugging up their arteries, not from rice or broccoli or many fruits, veggies and whole foods clogging things up.
@DianeDi Really?? Do you know that for a fact or is that just what you have heard? Please link me to ONE study that shows that saturated fats clog arteries. Just one. You can't do it because there isn't one. Suprised? It was a hypothesis made by Dr. Ancel Keys in the 1950's but it could never be proven and has since been completely debunked. Trans fats and a high glycemic (high carb/sugar) diet are the only things proven to cause heart disease.
@samherb1 There are studies suggesting it, but realize who is funding these studies-typically it is Corporate interests such as the dairy, meat & pharma industries. If the truth was known, they would be out of business. The China Study which was compiled over a 30 year period shows the more animal products are consumed the more disease occurred, including heart disease. Good saturated fats come in the form of whole foods, avocados, nuts, seeds, etc. not from the flesh and fluids of animals.
@DianeDi I'm afraid it is the other way around.....The China Study has been completely debunked (google Denise Minger). Dr. Campbell is a outspoken vegetarian who made sure his "findings" said what he wanted them to. His "studies" that led to his findings are seriously flawed.
@samherb1 Yeah okay, let's go with the 23-year-old Minger who previously listed her educational and professional qualifications on her Facebook page as writer, Catholic school teacher, summer camp instructor, and "Professional Sock Puppeteer." - We should definitely take her word (also a Weston Price supporter), over The China Study with 30 years of clinical peer reviewed studies. Get real - you've been "had" by Minger.
@UMakeTheConnection Did you read Minger's review? It's pretty damn thorough. I don't give a damn about credentials. Doctors have 8+ years of higher education and most don't know jack shit about health. But if you need credentials there are plenty of people with credentials that have blown up the China study also. I just though Minger's was the most comprehensive.
@samherb1 Take a step back and think about it. If the China Study is correct, don't you think it could mean major financial losses to the meat and dairy "INDUSTRIES". These are multi-billion dollar corporations - why would they not do everything they can to discredit the China Study. Dr. Campbell is simply sharing his findings and really has nothing to gain, unless of course you want to compare his book sales to these corporate interests.
@UMakeTheConnection The peoples work that I have studied that have blown up the China Study are not associated with the meat and dairy industries. They are independent health researchers. If you are interested check out Mark Sisson, Robb Wolf, and Chris Masterjohn to name a few. Cambell admits he did not go into the research for the book open minded. He set out to prove that a vegetarian diet was superior, or more specifically that eating meat leads to disease.
@samherb1 I do however agree that trans fats must be avoided at all costs and "refined" carbs/sugars fuel poor health and disease. Many people ignore the good carbs, foods that are still in their natural state, such as sweet potatoes, potatoes, beans, whole grains, etc. The body recognizes them as food and processes them efficiently, while refined "anything" is foreign in nature and the body isn't always sure what to do with it.
The French, many tribes in Africa, and especially Eskimos traditionally eat far more saturated fat than the average westerner and have a FAR lower incident of heart disease. The traditional Inuit diet gets 80% of it's calories from fat!! Almost all of it saturated fat (mostly whale blubber) and eats almost ZERO fruits and vegetables. Before the introduction of western food heart disease and cancer was not found in the Inuits.
@samherb1 Eskimos do eat a diet high in fat - however their average lifespan is approx. 63 or 10 years less than the average North American, plus have a far higher rates of cancer.
@DianeDi Inuit Eskimo have virtually ZERO heart disease or cancer until the 20th century when they began transitioning from a high saturated fat diet to a high carb/western diet. Pretty interesting huh?
You may benefit from a CNN special to be aired today, Sunday, August 21st at 8:00 p.m. E.T.
*The Last Heart Attack* Dr. Sanjay Gupta narrates a special on how to prevent heart attacks and speaks with Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn and an interview with former president Bill Clinton.
@samherb1 In the last 100 years, the diet has completely turned around. Never before in history has mankind been so obese, so sick, with every type of cancer, heart disease and of course, the third leading cause of death, is death by doctor - prescription drugs alone --- all those pills that cure NOTHING, but mask and even make the problem worse.
@UMakeTheConnection No disagreement there......Most doctors have no idea how to help a sick person regain their health (that is their job right??). They only know how to prescribe drugs to cover up symptoms, but ultimately cause more problems. It all starts with their schooling. The whole thing is designed to have everyone hooked on prescription drugs.
Unfortunately nearly everything this guy says has been completely debunked by recent studies. Man survived just fine for millions of years consuming animal flesh. Only in the last 10,000 years have grains been introduced and disease has followed. History tells us a diet of fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, and nuts is probably optimal for humans. Grains promote inflammation.
@samherb1 You TRULY must be mad or unable to do reasonable amounts of investigative critical thinking or even basic homework. Did you even watch this video? Do you get it at all or do you still consume fluoride - sucking on that tube of toothpaste or perhaps still enjoying your aspartame? Debunked my ass - you couldn't prove that and you know it...... you are so full of it your eyes are brown.

@DianeDi No thanks....I'll follow the diet that has worked well for mankind for millions of years, rather than the advise of a AMA trained doctor.
