Well for me, gameplay-wise, Rise of Legends is pretty ok. I loved the unit design. It shows that the developers got real creative while making the game. And the sound, yeah some are awful.

But yeah i agree with you, Rise of Nations is still better. Lets just hope they make a new one with the same army size that i saw in RoL. RoL is the only RTS that lets me play with huge armies without boring me.

You forgot, they aren't really gods. They're aliens inside some stone powered suit thingy that made the Cuotl people believe they are gods.

But if i have a dude than can rip you a new asshole with a mini black hole, i'll worship them too. Besides, Czin and Xil is badass. With the right use, Czin, together with a single death sphere, can annihilate an entire army.

If you like magic, then you can play as alin, but it is not much like magic. If you like technology then play as vinci or cuotl(kinda) The whole point of the game is that it is magis VS technology, not play as one or the other

Wish there was still an active community for this. It's got the best style of any RTS on the market (beautiful graphics, three distinctly different artistic styles for the factions and really good music) and the gameplay is pretty much unique and really good, if not a bit imbalanced.

There are some players who want to revive it a bit atm, but that will be ten people max. :/

This game resembles what Age of Mythology might look like if it ever made it to the 1800's. Like Age of Mythology, each civilization gets three heroes. You also expand by building on existing sites, rather than building your own cities where you want them.

Some of the clips have a little artistic license taken with them. Most of them were rendered outside of the game. It's a little surprising, since there are many good cutscenes within the game that are consistent with the game's graphics.
