@MegaRoosje1 , most schools around the world have requirements for the pupils: they must be healthy and able to speak the national language. Becuase some Gypsy kids don't, they may not be admitted to some elite schools. But I went to a school with Gypsies and it was a REGULAR school with very good educational system. THe problem was their parents sold them after 7th grade...

Gypsies, or most of them, go by their traditions as selling the girl at age 12-this happened to all my classmates in 7th grade. By 8th grade there are almost no Gypsy girls left in schools. This was in communism, too. Now they are lucky if their paents enroll them at all. In communism they had to send kids to schools, now they beg in the street or steal...

@MegaRoosje1 Where I live we dont have a great number of gypsy population, at least compared to France but there are a few thousands. They are usually poor but they get free housing (brand new houses were built for them) and they get a monthly pension from the state. They just need to send their kids to school. Despite the help they get, the kids do miserably in school and wont do anything to integrate. They segregate themselves and are often aggressive towards others.
