Hossa only signed a 1 year contract with them, to be honest with you, I don't think they will repeat. But I guess it could happen, I called him a sell out because the skill level between Detroit and Pittsburgh is almost equal, Detoroits obviously a little better, but not enough to fuck the pens like that.

I think they get away with some interference, but they are playing our best players very close. And their offensive game moves the puck better than any other team. As a retired goalie, I'm only happy to see net-minders getting a break for once. I thought these calls were stronger and more obvious than the Holmstrom one earlier in the series. But I was honestly surprised to see 2 of them in OT.
Can I just say I hate the NBC announcers. The "Where was he supposed to go?" comment about the goalie interference call was so ridiculous. Unless you are pushed into the goalie, you cannot run him over while he's in the crease making a save.

i'd argue that at this point in the nhl's history, with the salary cap the way it is, dynasties can go 6 years without a cup. i'd say it's something special if a team can even win 2 cups in a span of 3 or 4 years. sure, the wings have been out for 5 seasons, but they were on top of the conference for a few of those in-between.
