  • Ozzy Rocks!

  • I remember seeing this show live in '84. Couldn't believe Jake's playing then, still can't. This song is like a master class for anyone who has played guitar seriously. I can't believe the tempo they start the song in - seems to fast for Jake to keep up - but the guy shreds so well he's ahead of the beat while missing no notes. He is just totally in the pocket. Awesome.

  • That's some good guitar playing!

  • I like that black kohl in ozzy's eyes! :)

  • HE PLAYS MORE NOTES ? NOTES WITH OUT FEEL MAKE NO SENSE . YOU ARE NOT PUTTING MORE INTO IT BY PLAYING MORE NOTES. NO REAL MUSICIAN WOULD AGREE WITH WHAT YOU SAID. NOTES ARE NOTHING WITH OUT CONTEXT TO THE SONG. ANYBODY CAN PLAY MORE NOTES TO ANYTHING. IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE ADDING TO THE SONG YOU ARE JUST PLAYING MORE NOTES.

  • @kennopalus It makes music more intense. Listen to Crazy Train; Randy's playing A notes (5th string) between chords in the main riff. He could've just played only the chords, but the music would've been much different.

  • Chris Farley should have parodied this version of Ozzy.. a little eyeliner... wig.. fake tattoos... gaybar leather... voila!

  • 0:22 jake went E instead of F# ;)

  • The baddest dude. Jake E Lee.

    Check him out!

  • Feels like yesterday.

  • Makes ya miss the magic of the 80's don't it.

  • Bark at the Moon went Triple Platinum without Randy Rhoads. You gotta give Jake a lot of credit. The outtro solo is one my all time favorites :-)

  • That's funny. People are more interested in prove that they know something about music than listen to the fucking song. The best part is that Ozzy and Jake don't give a shit about this. Retarded people.

  • JAKE E LEE RULES!!!!

  • me encaaanta ozzy es la mejor banda de alin

  • me encaaanta ozzy es la mejor banda

  • PapaCeaser, you need to back off some of those crack johnsons you been sucking on...get real just because you don't get it doesn't mean you gotta put down Ozzy. You wanna call somebody cheap????? You add a whole new meaning to the word. BTW, you can back off the FU's and try adding some culture and class to your vocabulary!

  • Fuck Ozzy! He Too Old For Cheap ROCK! Not Metal! That's How Cheap He Is! Dumbass Old People Who Listen To This Need To Fuck Off! Listen To Some REAL MUSIC!

  • @PapaCeaser Asshole.

  • @PapaCeaser Dare to say this to Ozzy himself

  • @PapaCeaser dude just fuck off. this is probably more real than the 'REAL' music you listen to. it'll probably be corporate trash like nickelback or 30 seconds to mars.

  • I GIVE UP YOU'RE AN IDIOT. YOU LISTEN BUT YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE LISTENING TO. THE CHORD PROGRESSION IN GOODBYE TO ROMANCE IS FROM JOHANN PACHELBEL CANON IN D . THIS WAS USED BY RANDY BECAUSE HE WAS SUCH A GOOD MUSICIAN HE COULD TURN IT INTO A SONG ON A HEAVY METAL RECORDING. THIS IS ONLY A SMALL SAMPLE OF SOME OF THE COMPLEX MUSICAL ELEMENTS RANDY USED IN HIS SHORT TIME IN THE BAND . HE CHANGES KEYS WHILE SOLOING ON FLYING HIGH AGAIN. HE ALSO CHANGED KEYS FROM SONG TO SONG. YOU LISTEN !!!

  • great OZzy tune from batm tour!

  • THAT'S THE POINT !!! MUSIC IS BORING NOW BECAUSE PLAYERS LIKE JACKEE LEE MALMSTEEN AND THE REST OF THE SHRED GUYS CAN'T WRITE MUSIC. I DON'T GET HOW YOU GUYS CAN LISTEN TO WHAT AMOUNTS TO A PICKING EXERCISE AND NOT GET BORED TO DEATH BY IT. EVER WONDER WHY BANDS FROM THE 70'S AND EARLY EIGHT'S SOLD OUT CONCERTS IN HOURS. THE MUSIC WAS JUST AS GOOD AS THE PLAYING. . ALSO I SAW EVH 3 TIMES IN HIS PRIME AND JACKEE LEE DOESN'T COME CLOSE TO HIM IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM

  • @kennopalus STFU and listen to Ozzy. If you want to get this point out make a video.

  • Lee <3

  • JAKE E. LEE, NO FLOYD ROSE IN A TIME FULL OF FLOYD ROSE. AMAZING PLAYER!

  • AS FOR JACKEE LEE PLAYING ROAD S TUFF BETTER THAN ROADS. HE DID NOT HELP WRITE THE SONGS OR COME UP WITH THE SOLO'S HE HAS NO OBLIGATION TO PLAY THEM NOT FOR NOT. RANDY OVER PLAYED ON THE BLACK SABBATH SONGS AS WELL. THEY WERE NOT HIS SONGS HE WAS FREE TO LET LOOSE ON THEM AND HE DID.

  • @kennopalus Block capitals don't mean people will listen to you if anything they undermine any points you make. Some people just prefer Jakes style and thats fine, music would be boring if everyone liked the same thing.

  • ALSO HE WEN'T IN TO THE STUDIO WITH THE SAME BAND PLUS A BETTER DRUMMER IN TOMMY ALDRIDGE. . NO CLASSIC ALBUM CAME FROM THAT GROUP. THE ALBUMS THAT PUT OZZY BACK ON THE MAP WERE THE FIRST TWO.

  • HE IS NOT AND WILL NEVER BE AS GOOD AS RANDY RHOADS. LISTEN TO THE SONG AND YOU WILL HEAR OVER THE MOUNTAIN . RIGHT DOWN TO THE RECURRING MELODY HE PLAYS DURING THE SONG AND AT THE END OF THE SONG. HE DOES NOTHING SPECIAL OR UNIQUE . I'TS A SAME YOU SHRED GUYS DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT MUSIC !!!

  • @kennopalus jake e lee is superb and no matter how much you lick randys ass and suck his cock inside your head it wont make him any better. if jake was ozzys first guitar player everyone would say that he was the best one. people always think that a cover cant be better than the original and that the first members in a band are always the best, this is wrong in many cases.

  • @Ozznize ok whatever, they are all great musicsians. Ozzy seems to have found some of the finest guitarists on the planet to work with(Jake,Randy, Zack-ect.)they are all great. I don't think anybody wants to do sick things with Randy and for you to suggest so is disrespectful to the dead and disrespectful to a great musicsian. If you truly respected Ozzy then you would not have said such a thing.

  • I like how Jake changes the beginning of the last solo!

  • ozzy is weird as fuck, he is walking like a psycho :D

  • @marczaq thats what cocaine do to people... i think is funny as shit... but thanks god he stopped doing drugs ( i think)

  • Apparantly, there is a pissant out there who wants to put down Jake E. Lee , saying that his appearence is not like it was....get real you little SHIT! Who looks like they did in 1984? BTW, I met Ozzy and Jake E. Lee and the rest of the band on my bithday in 1984 in South Carolina!!!! Screw you @THEXXXDB!!!! If your stupid ass is even old enough to remember! As if you ever had a chance to meet a legend face to face...you PUNKASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @damamasnark dude us smart fans know jake e lee is a master at what he does i personally think he was better than rhoads maybe not at writing but definitively shredding watch him do rhoads songs like he puts more into them and the guy does so much without a whammy bar but dont let the trolls or the fools piss you off man

  • My black lab is named after Jake E. Lee aka Jake Earl Lee after my Daddy!!!! Jake E. Lee is alive and well......and yes....barking at the moon, especially when it's full!!!!!!

  • Jake E. Lee was always awesome on this song, he was so much like Eddie Van Halen!

  • @matchbox522 i think you mean so much better

  • Eargasmic voice !

  • Don Airey on Keyboards and the incredible Tommy Aldridge on drums !!!

  • uber rad hot rocker chick at the beginning of this video! i no i saw her on we did it for the band on vh1.

  • in my opinion.......Jake is better that Zakk

  • Jake E Lee!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this was Ozzie before he married Sharon

  • the best guitar player Ozzy EVER had.....with all due respects too Randy.....he was only around for 2 albums(like Rhoads)....but i think was a more rounded player than Randy.....IMHO.....

  • @TheXXXDB totally agree!

  • @TheXXXDB Shame he lives in a trailer in Vegas now addicted to meth. What a waste.

  • @zigzagbigbag is that true????I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THIS GUY IN SOME TIME....I WAS WOUNDERING WHAT HAPPEN TOO HIM....

  • @TheXXXDB Yep it's true. He's played with some unknown band a few times but from what I have heard he has lost alot of his early playing abilities.

  • @TheXXXDB It's true. Search for "Jake E. Lee 2010" on Youtube or Google, and you'll see how he looks like today. On Youtube, you'll find a video of "Stripped Down TV"; Jake doesn't talk, but you can see him on stage. I don't know if he's really addicted to meth; but his face is completely different; in the photo you can find on Google, his teeth are apparently damaged.

  • @TheXXXDB More rounded player than Randy? Randy played clean, slow, fast, distorted, classical, rock, metal, what else could Randy have been to be more "well-rounded" ?????????? Jake was great don't get me wrong, I love what he does. I think Ultimate Sin was Jake's best work with Ozzy.

  • @vaibanez17 I AGREE...HEY DONT GET ALL WORKED UP...I LOVE RANDY....DONT GEY ME WRONG BUT I LIKE JAKE JUST A BIT MORE...I AGREE WITH YOU RANDY WAS AMAZING...ITS JUST A MATTER OF TASTE...NO OFFENSE....

  • Jake Just did super amazing especially on that outro.

  • @IronGaz The outro solo is so strong. I love that the few opening bars aren't the same as on the recording. That bend at 3:31 must be 3 frets at least.

  • Listen in awe and you'll hear him... FUCKIN' DEMON!

  • That's Tommy Aldrich on drums. Some folks didn't think this was a good album but this song alone was a tremendous piece of work by Oz and Jake's guitar work is epic. I still play this one when I gig...

  • 93 Peoples like Justin Bieber _)_

    BARK AT THE MOON!!!

  • The solos in this song are among my favorites of all time. Jake E Lee is the man.

  • @badchicken30 behind Randy tho...

  • Brasil!

  • Jake E Lee kicked ass back in the day..Even if his ending solo was pretty damn sloppy in this live verson. Ozzy on theother hand had a terriable stage presence during this time paceing back and forth like a little fat pudgy 14 year old who's trying to play the scary heavy metal head banger, but hasn't quite figured it out yet - Still, I miss these days when pop metal was king and the little hottie metal babes of the day.

  • Where is the rest of this concert posted at? Wish this was on DVD.

  • JAKE E LEE............the soul of this song!!! he's the great guitarist

  • BARK AT THE M0:00N

  • when ozzy could still move :P

  • @ratmrulesyou1 hahahaha nice. but actually i saw him on the scream tour he was surprisingly active on stage i think its cause these days he actually has kicked drugs and alcohol and he works out daily apparently. idk. thats just what ive heard

  • @evanskick22 I also saw ozzy on the scream tour, he was amazing.

  • hahaha he's pacing around like a mental patient and sounds like he's stoned.

yet, there's something deeply lovable about that, something 'ozzy' about it.

awesome song btw. jake E Lee's solo is one of the greatest i have ever heard.

  • Oh, someone already said that.

  • It's Tommy Aldridge on the drums.

  • That would be the great Tommy Aldridge on drums.

I wish he would have stayed with Pat Travers along with Pat Thrall.

  • the bass player is great, it is hard to sound so full with just 2 guitars. Jake is amazing obviously.

  • That man can certanly play that fucking electric guitar.

  • Hilarious video description!

  • I love how Jake E. Lee hops up and down the stares. Tehee

  • the best sick solo by Jake E lee.....perfect

  • this is the best sick solo by Jake E lee.......Very Good!!!perfect

  • i repeat the guitar solo in this song about 100 times, fukin love it and towards the end of the song fukin epic!!!

  • Jake E. Lee looks like a mixture of yngwie malmsteen and Brian May

  • awesome tune

  • 100% I LOVE Jake E Lee.......he's the master!!! AWESOME

  • the bass player is daisley

  • 1:52

  • @TheUberguitar123 tell me about it. With that bass rhythm it makes for great and ear addicting solo!

  • @bg0821 yes it does! :)

  • bass player is not daisly...

  • jake best guitarist

  • jake e lee got style on the stair!!!!!!!!!!1

  • It got very scary for me at the end.

  • Gus g ?

    kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

    e o Jack E. Lee ...=)

  • Jake was let go b/c he couldn't write songs. BATM wasn't his, nor was SITD (two of the biggest Jake period songs for Ozzy). It doesn't matter how much 'technical' talent a player has. If they can't write hit songs, they're worthless to the person they're paid to support.

  • @kamaboko1 You must never have heard Badlands first album?....

  • @gbruceisgod Yeah, I've heard it. The songs just struck me as forgettable.

  • @kamaboko1 To each there own i guess. Pity Down To Earth wasn't forgettable? It haunts me to this very day. And as for Ozzmossis?..........

  • Sorry, Jake had huge balls to step in when he did. He was an amazing studio musician. No one had it like Randy live and it's possible no one ever will but Jake and Zakk did some great studio work... Give them some credit!.

  • It's a shame that Jake E. Lee is overlooked. Only because he had to fill Randy's spot. And people praise Wylde. He sucks compared to Lee!

  • that was another of ozzys talents was finding amazing guitarists

  • 0zzy osbourne= amazy

    jake e lee= fantastic

    tommy aldbridge=outstanding

    don airey= experianced

    bob daisley= selfish greedy jerk

  • I used to not be a Jake Lee fan, but a few videos on youtube are changing my opinion. This is one of them.

  • Tommy Aldridge is a MONSTER!!! A BADASS DRUMMER!!!

  • jake e lee is super rock star!!!! i love you!!

  • jake e lee was the best ozzy guitarist

  • I think this song was left over from the Randy Rhoads 3rd album contributions that was was never finished...

  • @zzerovisibility nope I think Jake E Lee wrote this whole song.

  • @betterthansex123 Don Airey - music continuation of Randy

Jake was hired in time to redo some guitar work

All of this according to mags at that time

I personally don't think Oz wrote the lyrics either

  • @yourunclehank1 I looked it up, apparently the producer wrote the lyrics and Jake wrote like the intro riff and the two of them king od organized the song together because Ozzy was doin a lot of drugs at the time.

  • @betterthansex123 That sounds right. If you notice the lyrical content

it's different from the callaboration of Oz,Randy,Bob and Lee(Kerslake)

Now that success was coming I think Sharon wanted to push for hired

musicians and keep writers credits all to Ozzy. It's pretty evident after

the reissue of the first 2 albums with redone bass and drums so they could

be called "new" and screw Bob and Lee out of royalties

  • @zzerovisibility thought i read that somewhere but I could be wrong

  • 93 people don't bark at the moon

  • Tommy Aldridge on drums

  • zakk=good, jake=better, randy=best, \m/

  • Why is Ozzy walking around like he lost something? And also OZZY FTW!!

  • @wiltsmith100

He did lose something. He lost Randy.

  • @Tessmage Funny

  • ozzy shoulda kept jake. and tommy aldridge and bob daisly but a band is like a marrriage and everyone runs off to other bands.

  • why are people having the same argument I had 30 years ago?

  • @PortsmouthNoir LOL!

  • Jake E. Lee dd an good job following Randy. Tuff act to follow....

  • Perfect solo! :S

  • Have this on vinyl and cassette it rocks that hard.

  • One of my favourite solos..

  • best guitar ever

  • Its sad this great man has been reduced to reality shows. :-\

  • OMG jake e fucking lee

  • It's amazing that wall of sound came from one bass and guitar.

  • Being at a concert in the Day was absolutely orgasmic, but nothing like the passions running wild in New York City as our fellow citizens 'occupy Wall Street.' This is no publicity gimmick. Those on the front lines of protest are standing firm for us. I'm fucking sick of the Big Shots sucking me dry. If I want a bj, I'll hire a hooker. Anyone who wants to stand against this Tyranny speak out now! I'm planning on walking 2500 to the West Coast to record your stories. Are you with us??

  • @jeff62rey protest the Congress and Federal Reserve first. They're the ones enslaving you with debt.

  • @jeff62rey I promise you man, being at the Ozzy concerts with festival seating in the 80's were a million times better than a political demonstation. Saw Ozzy "Diary" tour in Charleston WV trippin' on microdot 1 month before the plane crash and many times after that! That's my story man. To me, tyranny is reserved seating and seats on the floor at a rock concert. Be cool Jeff. I hope you have a safe adventure.

  • just imagine being in that concert, that would be orgasmic

  • 93 people are stuck in 1981

  • Dang, I had forgotten just how amazing Jake E Lee was as a guitarist. What ever happened to him anyway? Is he still around?

  • @synapflux search for "3 Day Crush." He is in that band now and there are clips on utube.

  • CHECK THIS GUY OUT GUYS! \m/ /watch?v=qqD4CsiV7qs

  • tommy aldridge on drums

  • @cdiupe he kicked ass in whitesnake too.

  • jake e lee is some guitarist

  • If I was David Gilmour I´d feel more like uncomfortably numb.

  • Jake messed up his own part at least twice in the song. Early on both at 0:21 and 0:45; two relatively simple parts of the song, and fairly easy to pick out. Just...wow...

  • Yay! Ozzy ...before the TV show, before he was guesting at the White House!! Jake's such an awesome player. Its an f'n shame "Ozzy Inc." has practically written him out of the Ozzy guitar history, jumping from Randy to Zakk as if no one existed in between. Hell, the 1st riff he threw out for the band to jam on was the intro to BatM!! No small thing!

  • The only thing that could have made this better would have been Rudy Sarzo on bass...

  • 1:59 look at Ozzy in the background.....

  • i cant take Ozzy seriously.....

  • Tommy Aldridge on drums....Don Airey on keyboards

  • crazy how ozzy is even famous. its like a mentally unstable moron singing.

  • @MyDeArmAsTeR1 You're a fucking moron. Go write as many hit songs as ozzy, oh i bet you can't. Fag

  • @moosepoop69 as long as dumb fucks like you inhabit this earth, that mentally challenged moron will keep on selling records

  • @MyDeArmAsTeR1 Why are you even here watching this vid if you hate ozzy that damn much. Only faggots dislike ozzy

  • yahoo brought me here

  • is it just me or does he look akward on stage?

  • ozzy had some fucking great guitarists! can't decide which one is better. they all are great!!

  • Loved the Jake stuff with Oz. But if you really wanna hear Jake listen to Badlands. I consider that his best work. I so wish he would come back and make a facemelting metal/blues album. But what he gave us was plenty.

  • never understood why Ozzy fired Jake E. Lee and hired that Zakk ,in the 1st place, tired of Zakk messing up every early Ozzy, and Black Sabbith song with those damn pinch harmonics, the so lame that'z all Zakk can do is those damn pinch harmonics !!

  • @merishane bro dont hate on zakk for trying to create his own style i bet every time you hear one of those pinch harmonic filled songs u may not like it but u know that its zakk wylde and thats what he wants

  • I have a solo cover of this song...check it out,,pls. rate and comment...

  • Man, so much energy! At 1:20, Ozzy goes like "Oh yeah, I'm loving this!". And Jake is a beast on guitar!

  • black sabath <3333 ozzy prince of darkness :) \m/

  • Simply brilliant!

  • Hey @BlackSabath1776 u 4got about the flawless solo to Mr. Crowley, now man if Mr Rhoads ain't shreding it on that song then some of the folks can't hear very well. Thanks 4 ur analogy dude. Later my man!!!!

  • Jake E Lee is unbelievable, but the band as a whole was flippin tight.

  • This is one of the best live videos i have ever saw of Ozzy!! And the band sounds tighter than 2 coats of paint!!

  • ozzy looks lost

  • JAKE E LEE IS THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah! Jake E Lee had some crazy arpeggio shit goin on! Very technical player. I'm inspired again!!

  • crazy energy and tight delivery top to bottom. this is what its all about. what happened over the past 27 years?

  • @getmeadoctor the music industry shit the bed is what happened

  • Jake E. Lee ..F**ckin Rock s all his work is top Quality ....ROCK JAKE...

  • Toni Iommi = his dark guitar style fits in the best with Ozzy's voice/Sabbath

Randy Rhoads = amazing, unique, inovative and overall inspiring

Jake E Lee = in terms of technical skills is on par with Randy and under-rated

Zakk Wylde = very blues inspired which i like and fits in with modern day metal

All are amazing and i really dont care which ones better. Im just happy Ozzy picked them period.

  • @gramhyro14 Thanks for this true resume.

No use to compare everyone. They are all amazing.

But you forgot Wylde's crazyness that makes him a stage monster.

  • @gramhyro14 jake lees badass dude but i wouldn'tever say hes on par with randy rhoads. they can play at the same speed yes, but randy was much more musical with his phrasing.

  • @gramhyro14 Jake e was taught piano but not guitar and repeatedly said he loved blues more than any but ozzy was not allowing him to express it in his music

  • @gramhyro14 what do u think about gus g?

  • @gramhyro14 jake e lee is SO underrated, he's amazingly talented.

  • @gramhyro14 Can only thumb this up. Nice comment man
