  • Yes i have it was there, if you have seen it outside you maby was there about 1-3 years ago. That was the time when they brought it there. you realy should go and chek it out. I bought an ticket that i will get to technic museum speyer and shinshaim. In shinshaim is concorde and many other cool planes. ps. if you dont want to wate to get inside the concorde go to museum directly when it opens :DD

  • I have realy seen the space shuttle buran! In theese days its in museum in germany! It sure was cool, there was steps and there can see to the cockpit :D its huge

  • @Mrpetumies You have seen the BTS-002 , i saw it onlly from the outside (not inside :-( ) at the MAKS1997. I realy like to go once to the Technikmuseum to see it from the inside and also thhe other exponates like Concorde, Tu-144 ,An-22,....

  • @swisstestpilot Yes i have. it was there in museum. It is in techink museum speyer in germany. There was a long way to drive from swiss. our plane landed to swiss and from there whit a car to germany. First we did go to speyer and after that to shinshaim. In shinshaim was concorde :D it was so cooooool!!!

  • The things happening in this video are confusingly out of sequence. Near the end (8min+) the vid shows Buran being processed with a payload and being rolled out. Was that footage from the first flight? Or were they prepping for a second?

  • what is the background music ?

  • @dargay never mind. Its Guru Josh Project - Infinity

  • @dargay Guri Josh Project Infinity 2008

  • The Buran could have been an amazing low orbit transport vehicle. But it just wasn't. But the US Space Shuttles and their orbiters actually did work, for the past 29 years. As much as you want to tout how advanced the Buran was, it is just a shallow burned out copy that sits along a river wishing it could have done as much as the Challenger or Columbia, or the Atlantis, Endeavour, and Discovery.

  • @frank2398 it is not a copy, the soivets allredy had the idee for it when juri gagarin was stil alive put the building of it startet after the us shuttle (politican reason). they put very much resarche in it it,its very differend to the us shuttle if you look on it in the details. btw the "buran" next to moskva river was the static test air frame not one of the real orbiter.. The Buranprogram was a victiom to the Economical crisis at the Sovitunions end and new Russias start

  • @frank2398 : Get your facts straight: Buran was NOT "just a shallow burned out copy" of anything. You have not read one single word about the propulsion system where one of the fundamental differences is found, and that by the way, was more advanced to that of the NASA shuttles. Tell me, following your primitive logic and "pragmatism", how will you consider NASA shuttles now that they are being grounded for good -and forever-, and that ALL launches to the ISS are made in Baikonur?

  • It's possible to get some Buran's blueprints and reports and the project??

  • Very good video of Buran, thank you!!

  • There you go Soviet-Russian Technology really was as Good as Anything in the Yankee dominated West, (Different.. but Good none the Less)

I've always been Fasinated by the Buran Shuttle Programme & the "Antonov An-225 Mriya" Which was Built to carry Her between Launch Site's & it's Such a Shame She (Like the "BAC TSR-2 Eagle" Interdictor) never got a true chance to Prove Herself,

The Russian's Deserve Reconition & Respect for their Accomplishment's just as much as anyone else.

    A Great Video.

  • I really don't know if the Buran really launched, flew and landed by remote control. To be honest I find it hard to believe.

  • @charger19691 To bee precise it flow by autopilot, the wohl flight was made by the navigationcomputer . If there would bee a error, the computer can bee overridet by remot control. Afther this unmaned space flight Buran was shown in the Sovjetunion and Paris, after this back in Baikonur prepartion for a Maned flight startet. but financel problems and the breakdown of the Sovjetunion stopt this. Buran was destroiet when douring reperation the roof of the buildingcrasht. So no maned fight was made

  • @charger19691 From the tottal 5 Sovjet shuttels, Buran was destrojet, the second shuttle is in a hangar at Baikonur, the 3 is unfinishet at Moscow, the 4 was only build up without skin and engin and is now in a German Museum togheter with BTS-002 (A jet engin powert 1:1 Modell of the Buran). The 5 was plant bud work on it never startet.

today Russia have enough money, but with only 1 Orbiter left, a brocken Asembliehall and damaget transporter erector and the An-225 ownt by Ukraine.

  • @charger19691 Not by remote control, but fully automatic flight.

  • American Shuttles rule.

  • @charger19691 Wel yo cant say it like that, the Buran System is more advanct as the American Shuttle (energija can also carry other payload as the Buran, Buran was abel to operate also remot controlled, and safer a event like with Chalanger could not happend) Its a pity that the Buranproject (it was plant to build 5 Orbiter) never reacht his full size. How ever its very sad that after 2010 no Shuttel will be fly and no new system is aviabel (who is equal to the Shuttles)

  • Main difference between Space Shuttle and Buran programs is launch vehicle. American vehicle can be used with space shuttles only. It consists of 1st stage accselerators and this big orange thing - tank with fuel for shuttle engines, that are used while lift-off. Energiya (Energy) launch vehicle can be used with different loads. It's totaly independent from Buran engines. Buran-Energiya program was more advanced then Space Shuttle. But it's mainly because it started 10 years later.

  • change the music pls

  • Nice!
