God I love that song. That one and one by Skillet are literally the two things that have come close to making me cry in a long time. I remember when he came to my base and sung one night, he sounds just like he does on the radio. Hell, he's come to see us more times than Obama.

Some army guys were wearing the green undershirt you would see on a marine uniform. (skivvies or tacticals).

I never seen that before. They always wore

a tan shirt.

@Soldier1287 The PX at camp Ramadi & Fallujah were run by the Marines and only carried the green t-shirts. So we were authorized to wear the green t-shirts while were there. I liked them better and hated going back to the tan ts after we returned to the states.

By 2005 there where only U.S base no branch Marines and army were both on the same bases

@Soldier1287 Yes, our BCT (4000 Army NG soldier) fell under the command of the 2nd Mar Div. Every base had a mix of Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force. With that being said for the most part it was Army & Marines and each base would always have more of one or the other (Ramadi more Army /Fallujah more Marines).

What a great video! We saw him outdoors about 4 days before that at FOB Speicher and while he was performing two AH-64s flew overhead and dived down - it was SWEET.
