we were all required to get the anthrax vaccine in korea (it used to be voluntary but they suddenly made it mandatory). i left the country and came back here right before they started administering it; but 3 of my friends received the vaccine and they all became very ill. because of this, theyve decided to get out of the military.

GWS has been debunked a long time ago. The illnesses were primarily due to deseases not seen in the west. They have always been around but were never studied in any detail because they weren't a problem. When they showed up during GW1 it took time to track down and develope treatment. No mystery deseases. Not dismissive, but I did do my homework.

US soldiers on the whole are better educated than the general population. I would add most having traveled and been to war are probobly more aware of world affairs than most. Since they are volunteers its kind of hard to call them slaves.

You are correct, you do give up some of your liberties that others take for granted. The fact that you belong to a military organization requires it. But there is usually recourse for any greivences. When it comes down as mandatory it must be done. When they joined the military and took thier oath they volunteered for it.

The military is inherently not one of "freedom of choice" when it comes to being prepared for conflict. If those conflicts have a good possibility of biological/chemical warfare it is prudent to be prepared against those agents most likely to be used.

The military should give potential recruits an information sheet spelling out in detail what exactly their rights and duties and obligations are. It would then be up to recruits to negotiate any contentious issues and if they are not negotiable, it would then be up to them to enlist or not. It would then be informed consent. Personally I consider vaccinating anyone against their will unconstitutional.

Also, there is NO evidence that vaccines prevent diseases.

That is not completely true. Most kids 18 + have no idea what they are doing. Their kids. Our military groups exploit them the way a strip club, exploits women. They get mind-fucked into believing in causes which are less than just. IRAQ for example. Then they get to the War Zone and find out how fucked up it really is. When you see a recruitment video, you don't see other soldiers with their limbs blown off. That's the fucking reality!

Reality is tough, but "most" 18 year olds in the military are not in a war zone ,they are in training. Using your logic they should not be allowed to vote, drive cars, get married, smoke, etc.etc. When I was 18 I knew more than any adult walking the face of the earth. By the time they have completed training , gone to war, seen what war can do, understand the significance, they are more mature than many 50 year olds. Its a job for men and women, not boys and girls.

I doubt that recruits are told when they sign up that they will be vaccinated and that they will have no choice in the matter. If they were told, why would some of them refuse the shots AFTER they have joined and risk court martial? Surely if they felt that strongly about it they would not have joined up in the first place.

They would assume if you wanted to work for them you would follow thier rules. The military is full of obvious dangers as well as the system itself. It is understood that by joining you accept these risks.
