  • Still one of the best games I have ever played!

  • Sounds so RUSSIAN!

  • The Sith Emperor aint got shit on Revan.

Lord Scourge aint got shit on the Exile.

SWtOR fucking sucks compared to the masterpieces that are KotOR I & II.

  • @CarrickBuff10 sooo....ur dissing the company that made SWTOR which also created Kotors I & II? Don't get me wrong Kotor I and II were great. SWTOR is meant for a player to have their personal story on the side of the big picture. But Go Revan!

  • @ArtofWar275 Bioware didn't develop KoTOR II. Obsidian did.

  • @ArtofWar275

I am dissing the company, yes.

I have to correct you there; BioWare did not develop Knights of the Old Republic II.

Don't get ME wrong, I think SWtOR is entertaining as hell, but it just can't compete with the story of the last two games and I mean the overall story, the big events.

It's Star Wars Episodes IV-VI all over again.

  • @CarrickBuff10

Get the fuck over it, KOTOR had a great storyline yes but the gameplay itself was dull and had little excitement. KOTOR II was unfinished mess that had great potential and was only saved by user mods.

SWTOR is not perfect, but neither is KOTOR

  • @CarrickBuff10

Too bad The Emperor beat Revan, Scourge killed Meetra, and SWTOR has such a massive fanbase from it's multitude of stories alone. KOTOR I and II were fucking incredible, but SWTOR is quite far from terrible. It continues the story and reveals what happens further with Meetra, Revan, Scourge, and Emperor Vitiate.

  • I snuck into an Imperial cantina and reprogrammed their soundsystem to play this music. In SWTOR, this is the Republic Anthem.

  • <----- You all must join the cult of Revan in SWTOR!!

  • I couldn't believe I heard this in TOR I got so nostalgic.

  • I am Revan Reborn. And before me you are nothing.

  • @KingGalby Best. Line. Ever.

  • In SWTOR, this is Revan's theme.

  • don't feed the trolls. Don't feed supergibb

  • The liberation of Sobrik had begun!

  • Revan>>>>>>>>>>>>Skywalkers+Yoda+Kenobi+all sw unreal heroes

  • Malgus aint got shit on Malak...

And you sure as hell can forget about Revan...

  • @JaeCryo Revan kicked both of their asses twice....

  • @JaeCryo if you do the maelstrom prison flashpoint youll find out what happens to Revan :D

  • @JaeCryo Malak was nothing more than a Brute who was destroying everything. Revan and even Malgus have/had their own agendas going on that required a lot of cunning (not the stat) to keep hidden. Though I will admit, Malgus' execution in his plan is where it really fell apart, but he was still better than Malak as he did have the right idea going.

  • I thought this track was Revan's Theme, it's what the OST website calls it

  • Fuck the old republic i wanted KOTOR 3 for the 360 I don't even have a pc to play that shit on

  • Too bad SWTOR is a grindfest with repetitive sidequests that force you to hit the Auto-run toggle and sit for 10 minutes just to get to the destination.

    So sad.

  • @Supergibb Sir, I think you may not understand the word GRIND. SWTOR is quest based game - to open new content you don't have to kill specific amount of mobs... Repetitive sidequests?Nigga please... And there is no Auto-run here :)

  • @MultiSamuelson Oh look a blind fanboy. Swtor has the most repetetive and fetchiest side quests i've ever had the grace of playing. Ever. Everyone knows it too, the only people who deny it are fanboys or are used to MMOs in which grinding and pointless sidequests are now natural to them. Such a disappointment.

  • @Supergibb Yeah, and any other Mmo apart Guild Wars, do not have so "cliche sidequests" I am not a "blind fanboy". I just can't stupid trolls like you. Did you play this game or just watched few videos on youtube and are playing big MMO elder who knows everything about online gaming? I have 45 Jedi Shadow and I did not have to grind to get this level. I just did class quests and few sidequests - which are not so cliche as you think (Abdicate King on Alderaan, train soldiers on Tatooine etc.)

  • @MultiSamuelson Yeah it takes very little grinding to level up in the game, and if you have trouble you can just group up to finish any of the really hard quests.

  • @Supergibb You know there's speeders you can use to get to destinations right? Or that fast travel ability that warps you anywhere? Or the skill you get at level 14 that lets you run about 50% faster. I hate MMOS and I love TOR. There is no grinding, I never once had to grind in order to beat something. There's no raiding or nothing.

  • @MetalMarioFist 40 minute cooldown on quick travel. Speeders are extremely slow, and you get them a lvl 25. Sprint ups your speed by 10%

I dislike MMOs, and TOR is no exception. It's sidequests and constant running through barren wastelands are actually worse than some MMOs i've played. Such a shame, the story is so good, but the filler is killer.

  • @Supergibb Ehh: 30 minute cooldown on qt. Speeders put up your speed by 90%-110%. And Sprint gives you 35% more speed. Did you ever play this game, that you don't know such a basic things? If you didn't, so why bother trolling here? First you have to play this game to judge it.

  • @MultiSamuelson I've sunk 40 hours of my time into this game. I loved it at first, but then i realized just how tedious and horrible spaced out everything is. Unfortunate, very unfortunate.

  • @Supergibb i played the self-last beta weekend and yes, the spaces are open, that is good, because i see beatiful places, that is why i love the old republic. Is the perfect legacy to star wars kotor 1. And i sleep fine knowing that the legacy exist

  • @Supergibb I doubt anyone spends 40 hours on a game before deciding they hate it.

  • The worst decision Bioware made in KOTOR was not giving Jeremy Soule a live orchestra. The score could have had a whole other dimension if it was produced by real instruments as opposed to a machine.

  • Oh my god, when I heard this on Taris as the "Trooper" when the one ex-Imp lady came in and started bitching at the colonel I was like "You get him Bastila!" Because that's her voice! Great music! ^.^

  • I played SWTOR (and still playing) but i have to say that its nothing o KOTOR. The story for the JK (the class i played to lvl 50) is nothing to what i got out of KOTOR. When Bastila betrayed me i was actualy QQ-ing around :( Not only that it made me feal imba, SWTOR jedi makes you feel like a loser when you and a sith lord (companion) have a life and death battle with only 1 random gold elite.LIKE WTF? I am destined to beat the Emperor you tards.. They even stated they whant us to feel heroic.

  • @xxan84 ...O.o.... Y U so blind? Play Taral V and Maelstroem prison again.... And the operation.. where you are going to kill the emperor.. Im just lvl 35 and I have seen a shitload of things continuing from the KOTOR series in SW:TOR....

  • @Sunshrine2

Are you joking? I never said the story does not continue... I SAID THE STORY and the FEELING is nothing compared to the original KOTOR...

  • KOTOR

The best games bioware has ever made. I hope they make enough money from Tor to make another one.

  • @DarthVantos KOTOR 3 I doubt will ever happen, the Revan novel has pretty much seen to that. On top of that, a lot of people have been disappointed with TOR, I can't even return it or trade it in cos all my gameshops have too many already. I can't even give it away XD

  • @Trayusstudent1 How would you return a game that has already been "used"? The copy you have now is worthless since the CD-key has been used and the content on the dvds you have are downloadable online for free.

  • @Fyrvelm Exactly, its a goddamn waste of £120

  • @Trayusstudent1 C'mon! Haven't you seen the continuing of the KOTOR I and KOTOR II story in the SW:TOR? All the flashpoints and some story quests are absolutly striked through with this!

  • @Sunshrine2 Thats the point, I haven't even been able to play the game... its unplayable.

  • @Trayusstudent1 Why do you think so? I get no lags (excluding the lags in highly crowded areas - Fleet.. but my conf. is Athlon 4800+ and 9800GT), no queues at all (on the most heavily crowded EU server)..

  • @Sunshrine2 I had a gaming laptop built with all the right specs as well as having one of the best internet services in the UK, the game is all lag.

  • @Trayusstudent1 Yeah, the specs were WAY underrated.. that's true.. to have at least everything on low-to-middle with no shadows, you'd need at least i3-2300M and GT540. GT520 and AMD equivalent HD6470M/HD6490M proved unuseful and uneffective. Not to mention Intel on-chip graphics.. on HD3000 with very low specs barely 5fps. I don't even think how would it run on the GMA4000, lol! It looked like that they forgot that GT540 does not equal GT540M.

  • @Trayusstudent1 Have you plugged it into the power point? That solves my lag problem.

  • @firth02 microsoft powerpoint? how...how would that work OR solve a lag problem? O_o

  • @thebludoc The powerpoint where you plug the laptop in when you want to charge the battery

  • Man I was whistling this the whole day now I'm listening to it. I'll never forget Swkotor, it was, and still is one of the best video games I have ever played in my life. I just pray that they make a third one now that swtor has been released:D

  • "Meh Spoiler"

This Theme is also kinda Revan's (or his masks -.-) theme in Swtor

  • I finished Kotor 2 several times yet I still dont 100% understand the plot there.

  • @ElysiumShadowsong before the beginning you were a trusted general in the Mandalorian Wars. You were the one who unleashed the Mass Shadow Generator that destroyed Malachor V and the thousands of jedi, republic, and mandalorians on its surface. Through the force you felt all lives die and it was too much for you to handle so you cut yourself from the force, after Malachor V you returned to the Jedi Council and were Exiled. You never went with Revan into deep space when he confronted the emperor.

  • @ElysiumShadowsong After the defeat of Traya and the other two guys, You returned to Dantooine to complete your retraining as a Jedi. But it was not long before your droid, T3-M4, revealed that he had been carrying information about Revan's fate the entire time he had been in your possession. The droid stubbornly refused to show the information to anyone other than Bastila Shan, and so you took the droid to Shan's home on Coruscant.

  • @ElysiumShadowsong Together, you two watched as T3 revealed that the Ebon Hawk had crashed on the dead planet Nathema, once a member world of the Old Sith Empire. As they watched, the recording revealed that Revan had been captured by a Sith male—a race thought extinct since the end of the Great Hyperspace War. Unbeknownst to them, this Sith was Lord Scourge.

  • @ElysiumShadowsong !!!!!!!!SPOILERS!!!!!

the Exiles name is Meetra Surik btw. Meetra went searching for Revan and figured out he was on Dromund Kaas. There Meetra was confronted by Lord Scourge who had a change of heart and decided that the emperor was becoming to powerful and that they needed Revan in order to destroy him. Revan was held prisoner for 3 years by Darth Nyriss. Scourge convinced the Dark Council that Nyriss was a traitor and the Empire decided to go and kill her.

  • @ElysiumShadowsong !!!!!SPOILERS!!!!!!

Seeing an opportunity to free Revan, Scourge and Meetra, were able to infiltrate the detention area and rescue Revan .In the moments before leaving the detention area, Surik remembered that she was still carrying Revan's mask that she received from Bastila Shan on Corusant and presented it to him. He had a brief moment of recognition before passing out from the flood of his life's memories returning to him.

  • @ElysiumShadowsong !!!!!SPOILERS!!!! Darth Nyriss entered the detention area with the intent of killing Revan. Surik and Scourge were forced to fight Darth Nyriss on their own. They were no match for a member of the Dark Council. In what seemed sure to be their final moments, they all witnessed a reborn Revan intervene and destroy Nyriss by turning her own powers against her. Together, the three escaped the compound and began to prepare to destroy the Emperor.

  • @ElysiumShadowsong !!!!!!!!!MAJOR!!!!!!SPOILERS!!!!!!!

With Scourge's aid, the three were able to infiltrate the Emperor's Citadel in Kaas City. They underestimated the emperors true power. In a single moment Scourges betrays and murders Meetra by literally stabbing her in the back. Meetra threw her lightsaber to deflect a killing blow from the emperor to revan before falling. Now you should 110% understand most of the plot of Meetra[The Exile] Kotor in general and alot of Swtor lore.

  • @ElysiumShadowsong I left out some details but that would ruin some of swtor for you if you play it, if not most of the info I got is from the Novel Starwars: The Old Republic: Revan there's an audiobook of it on youtube

  • One if not the greatest games of all time

  • I got all choked up playing Star Wars the Old Republic when this music played.

  • @second2151 agreed. *sniff* it brought a tear to the eye

  • @second2151 I know it may be spoiler but, were did you hear this if i may ask ?

  • @CaCSouthPark You should really just play TOR, there are so many of those moments and it's totally worth it. But if you still HAVE TO know, then feel free to message me and I'll tell you. I get all excited just talking about it :D

  • @second2151 there are several very nostalgic moments in The Old Republic, most of them are where you would expect but I still get emotional when the music starts playing. I think that may be the only reason I'm playing TOR, for those flashback moments... lol TOR makes me want to play KotOR again, and I just did my thirteenth replay of it a few months ago <3 KotOR <3

  • @second2151 Nar'Shadda?

  • Comment removed

  • @second2151 Same. Finished the Endar Spire mission chain on my Jedi Shadow last night and was all grins and goosebumps when this started playing. Frickin Epic!

  • @second2151 omg me too. I was on Nar Shadaa.

  • I fell in love....with bastila

  • @Zeduuh Who didn't? :)

  • best part about this game. it had nothing to do with Electronic arts.

  • KOTOR is more than just a game its an experience

  • Playing this game for the first time due to the steam sale. Fucking terrific so far, too bad i've known the big twist for years.

  • I get the feeling that this has become Revans theme in ToR.

  • I love how they included alot of the music from the Kotor series in SWTOR, It makes me feel awesome when I hear it.

  • @TheLuminousGlow yeah.. I've completed one bonus of a total side quest.. it was called.. well.. I dunno it was on Balmorra in the destroyed sith occupied city.. can't remember the name.. ah.. Sobrik it was! And when you sliced the cantinas sound system exactly this sound played.. it was like a huge KABOOOM in my mind!

  • this theme played for me in the old republic once...man, i got hit with nostalgia bombs all over the place. shame they didn't continue the series as they did with mass effect. but damn, this was such an awesome game

  • This song also plays for the Trooper class a number of times, usually in moments like when you have a "Republic Pride" moment, or when you play the Anthem of the Republic over the loud speakers to aid the people in fighting the Sith occupation.

  • doing the quest Revan's Mask, and hearing this was great

  • Hearing the variation of this theme while taking Revan's mask in TOR, makes me feel so nostalgic about KOTOR, it hurts.

  • Thank god this theme and the Endar Spire themes are in TOR. I will be playing these sound files to death as I played.

  • You'd argue that the sequel still has lots to offer even though the deleted content wounds the game. On the other hand, this is the best song like a march preparing for an epic battle, yet this is the song for character creation, which is where the player is introduced to some of the basics. That is an epic way to start a game!

  • Comment removed

  • Was just playing The Old Republic MMO, this played.

    BioWare hasn't forgotten people.

  • @Murderdevill And did you noticed when you heard it ?

When you grabed Revan's mask !

  • @Murderdevill when does it play?

  • @frostythewargod At multiple locations. Notably on the wreck of the Endar Spire, but also available on certain jukeboxes, like the Ord Mantell cantina one. There is a slightly remixed version that is more sinister sounding that plays for Imperial players on the Mask of Revan quest.

  • Definitely one of the most epic themes ever made!

  • Kotor FTW! The clone wars is getting old so as the galactic civil war ._.

  • Someone needs to mod the soundfiles of TOR and replace them with Kotor's.

    Long Live Sacred Nostalgia!

  • I finished this game 10+ times... every time is a new experience. Every emotion tugs at you when you play this. Anger, regret, hope... Amazing game.

  • for my opinion the lore of TOR is much better then movies

  • I've played TOR, and Revan deserved more!

  • @Eleglas While Revan clearly died in early beta, they have since changed that fight. When his health is nearly drained, he unleashed a lightening storm and vanishes. So he may not be dead yet!

  • @RobNYPD Actually it's more likely he did die. The force cannot be used to teleport anyone, and the way he was defeated seemed more like when Old Ben died, he became one with the force.

  • @Eleglas Actually, "Fold Space" is a Force power that allowed Force-user to teleport. As powerful as Revan is, I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow learned this power and used it. It's possible he died, but if that was the case why didn't they just leave in the original fight where he clearly died? They changed it and now he vanishes in the middle of a lightning storm. Either way, I'm sure Revan will be back in an expansion pack, either he's alive or as a Force Ghost.

  • Exactly this or that, awful imo, modified version? :/

  • This played in TOR when i was on the wreckage of the Endar Spire. kinda nostalgic feeling i had :)

  • That music so aweshome so i use this track to let my brain active when i need to focus on my work :)

  • This song plays whenever I look in the mirror to change my appearance.

  • From TOR on this is now Revan's theme.

  • i hope sooner in the future they add starwars the new republic thums up

  • KOTOR was probably one of the best SW games. KOTOR2 kind of ruined the KOTOR series experience, but hopefully BioWare will be able to pick it back up on its feet and bring back the awesome story and experience.

  • @CaliberShrix KoTOR 2 was awesome, how did it ruin anything? Lucasarts rushed it out the door early but it's still awesome.

  • TOR is a (sort of) a multiplayer version of kotor....

    O.O

  • My game lags Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeavily and the music doesn't play anymore. =(

  • I tried this game back in 2003 cause I loved the Jedi Knight series and wanted more. When I noticed it was not the same style of game I was worried.

Years later I've finished this game a record 7-times. This game is just art. Everything is perfect. The story, the music, the gameplay. You really get dragged into it. Especially when the *twist* happens.

The sequal wasn't bad but could never compete with this one. I've only finished the sequal twice.

  • @dnomz Hahaha Indeed, The 'twist' you say was a let down.....lol

  • @dnomz Shame theres actually a reason why Kotor 2 wasn't as good

  • @Doomdude50 Kotor 2 was great. I will admit it could of been done better with BioWare behind it instead of Obsidian but still the lore and story between the 2 games are amazing. There is actually a method to all the Kotor and Kotor 2 then then an MMO not Kotor 3.

  • @BrownTown45 I agree I loved the game it's just you can tell at some points where it was unfinished since Lucas Art's Rushed Obsidian

  • @dnomz Agreed, this is my favorite video game of all-time. All-around BRILLIANCE.

  • @dnomz Which twist? The Bastilla one or the main character finding out the truth?

  • @Wyvvern99 The main character twist... some people claim they saw it coming from a far but I didn't which made it extra sweet. When the truth got revealed my jaw dropped on the floor.

  • @dnomz If Kotor II was finished the right way, it'd be better than the first.

  • @dnomz ME TOO, we are very much alike my friend. And I feel the exact same way, and /i dont know why Im talking like this, salutations my friend.

  • @dnomz Have you tried the Restored Content mod? It makes the sequel waay better.

  • @dnomz i think they should completely re-make this and kotor 2 with new graphics and stuff, but they should make a new combat system like fallout or TES. however they should allow the option to change back to the original system if you so choose

  • @dnomz I only finished The Sith Lords once. I still have my XBOX copy, but I'm lucky if I can play it for five minutes without a crash or some absurd game-breaking bug. I liked it a lot when it worked. Funnily enough, I've had KOTOR since it's inception, and it's always worked. Obviously bugs exist, but I've never had major trouble.

  • @dnomz I'd like to point out that the sequel was an incomplete game. Imagine how amazing it would've been had they finished it...

  • @dnomz Kotor 2 is much much better and deeper than this.

  • @Knightfull You're right. Kotor 2 had the best story ever in a video game. And Kreya and the Exile were the deepest characters. Kotor 2 explains the force in a much deeper way than that Midichlorians shit.

  • @PolishCatholic1

I've never been a fan of KotOR 2, to be honest. I liked the first game much more for some reason.. planets, characters, encounters, story - it was epic in the proper meaning of this word. KotOR 2 lacked that to me. It was too much like "Oh, look, it's so grimdark now!" for my taste.

  • @Panczekolada I know exactly what you mean! KotOR1 was "We are heroes we save the whole galaxy!" while KotOR2 was "We save the galaxy but nobody knows it". I like both the same but in a different way. In 1 the characters are more likable but in 2 they're deeper. the story in 1 is more like the movies and more epic but in 2 it's also deeper. KotOR2 is so calm and has this unique disturbing atmosphere which makes you feel that something is on your tail the whole time.

  • @PolishCatholic1 and that's exactly what kotor 2 was meant to be. it tells a much deeper story and focuses more on the connection between the force and the jedi.

  • @Knightfull Nope.

  • @dnomz Exactly my story.

  • @dnomz Well you've found what science never could. KoTOR is exactly 3 1/2 times as good as KoTOR 2.

  • @dnomz i felt the same way. I tried this because I like the Jedi Knight Series. After i finished this games like 8 times, I knew that it was no mistake to keep on going even though it wasn't in my belovedi Jed Knight style. Also I agree that the Sequel wasn't that epic, but I still played through it like 5 times. No Star Wars game has beaten this game til now in fun and pure epicness. It's just perfect. That's all I can say.

  • And no other game can do the same. Believe me. It's been what? 6-5 years already. And no game like it. Pure greatness that this game delivered.

  • @gMemo92 the best game of 2003 so its been 8 years

  • First sign this game would be awesome? This music plays during *character creation*.

  • @NephandiMan agree :)

  • i hope in 2012 or 2013 makes another movie of starwars

  • this game does not age, i was sooo caught up in it and i have "better" games to play, one of the greats.

  • Comment removed

  • one of the best star wars rpgs i've ever played. this game rocks!

  • @DOWrocksify This is the best game i have EVER played so far

  • @bbd3xa agreed, altough i am Superhyped about TOR i really hope that sometime down the line they will make a KOTOR 3, or atleast a spinoff game for the upcoming Revan novel

  • I just dont like organic meatbags, except for the master of course.

    Hunter-Killer 47

  • An this game would exist without Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, which in my opinion are the true masterpieces of computer RPGs.

Still, I loved this game (played more than half a dozen times even) and I am damn glad it now has a low price

  • @Delvuie Baldur's Gate is the best Computer RPG, the only problem is that it can get a bit long-drawn at some points.

  • My fav RPG still up to today among both pc and console games

  • you are eager for blood revan but so am i once again we shall have a one on one combat battle! famous quote of lord malak stay tuned for more famous qoutes of malak

  • brings back the nostalgia :')

  • There it is. This music defines "epic". Ahh, Bioware glory days, before EA began holding our hands through a "fake rpg" known as ME2.

  • @KONERKOSLAM14 Hey, come on. At least ME 2; while not being a RPG, was a good game. Look at the HORROR and MASSACRE they made with Dragon Age 2. Cheap, lame, repetitive, non compelling, casual. Yep, EA all over the place.

  • Répondre à cette vidéo... Still hoping the Old Republic gets decent. They started it before the merging.

And even if EA ruined it, it's still bioware + star wars in KOTOR time, so it can't be so bad, right ?

  • @Ataradesu tell you the truth, i cant care about old republic, because it's an MMO. people will be paying like 150 bucks a year to play a video game. to me, that is insanity/irrational thinking. i despise mmo's. but that's just me. that world of warcraft game did quite well, so who am i to talk right? lol.

  • @Ataradesu Yea, i guess ME2 was a "good game" but it had EA commercialism and dumbing down aspects all over it. just got rid of my NHL12 due to one thing. The EA menusystem. 90% of all those menus are USELESS and take forever to load. just to save a game you have to go through like 8 menu screens just to get to the save button. Why developers expend so much memory into game menu systems making all these useless dumb effects slowing down entire game beyond me. just put words up and let us select.

  • I bought this game about 1 year ago. It was for PC 22 €( Yes, i am a fin). I was like " hmm pretty costy for a 2003 game but i heard this was good.

Next day... I FRIGIN LOVE THIS GAME!!!

  • Every time I listen to this piece, I get goosebumps.

  • bloodybart i agree with everyword ;)

  • I dont care about the street price on KOTOR. Id buy the last remaining copy for a 1000 credits.

  • I want the jedi masters to wipe my memories like they did to Revan so I can play KOTOR for the first time again!

  • @TheGuyWithAWeirdName If I had the ability to wipe my memory I would just play KOTOR all day

  • @TheGuyWithAWeirdName - try hitting the wall with your head. Might work. ;)

  • I beat all of you. I paid full price when it came out. :D

  • @wilshire1992 me too

  • @wilshire1992 I did as well. And I was playing it for a week or a bit more straight, having abandoned SWG for that week lol.

  • Comment removed

  • I beat all of you! I got this game off of steam for 2.50!

  • @ACTIVEDEVICE But with Steam it's a pain in the ass to download mods

  • Great theme.

  • Awwww yeee, choosing your character.

  • This game brings back so many memories. Its a shame the sequel was such a piece of shit.

  • @fortisKID get fucked the sequel was great
