Bandai never english dubbed this, it's only available subbed from them, and you won't be able to find it english dubbed since only they would be able to do it.

Bandai should have a dub, but they simply can't. Lucky Star is definitely popular, but because it's a nice title, it's not guaranteed to make a lot of dvd sales, so a dub, costing extra money, would be too risky.

The Japanese version is great, but Lucky Star is one of the few cases, in which I think the English Dub, does better. Especially during the Lucky Channel. The English voice actors have done an amazing job! Normally I'd watch subbed Anime, but Lucky Star is an exception!

They were just as loose with the english dub as KadoKawa was with the japanese dub. In fact, they were even looser (shown in episode 6, twice). Nope, most anime are aired on TV in Japan before being released on DVD. OVAs are directly released to DVD, and aren't usually aired on TV. OVA stands for Original Video Animation. They usually are only a few episodes long, although they vary.

OVA means "Original video animation". This means that the episode was made strictly for home video formats like DVD and VHS. Last year, when the Lucky Star series finished airing and all the DVDs were released in Japan, the ova was released on DVD without even being aired on TV.

There have been cases where OVAs were aired on TV, but whenever this happens, the OVA is aired many months after the series has already ended.

And also, a lot of times OVAs have a much higher budget per episode than the rest of the series. This causes them to be drawn better, have smother motion, better effects and "sometimes" even better voice acting.

And sometimes, OVAs cause really big plot holes in the series and can't be placed in a time line that makes any sense. So everybody just accepts them as something separate from the actual series and don't include them in the anime's main story or plot.
