  • WTF my comp is awesome this game lags so much thoe how do imake it lag less

  • @BloodyMare123 You don't. It's poorly optimized, since dual core machines are top tier in korea. Anything more than that, and it goes to waste. So you pretty much have to overclock one core to get decent playing speed.

  • @mattone how do i overclock one core? i have 4

  • @BloodyMare123 google fu.

  • How would I go about doing that? I would LOVE to play this game, and any advice you have on how to do so would be badass.

  • @Ryuu297 There's a site (Dbocom (dot) com) that I used for the registration. They have a guide for the taiwanese beta, though I have it uninstalled, and they have several english guilds. I don't really participate on there, it's better to learn on my own, i'd rather not be associated with a majority of the english community (We're really not supposed to be playing anyway), that just acts like huge assholes.

  • @mattone Oh cool, I'll try that out. If/when I get it all set up, you wanna play together? I don't join guilds on most any game for the same reason.

  • Oh wait, is there an English patch you know of for the Taiwanese version? I'd rather be able to figure out what stuff does without trial and error.

  • @Ryuu297 Not really, unless they released it within the last month or so. They do have guides that cover what you have to do, so it's not like you'll be clueless.

  • @mattone I found an English patch, but I can't get the damned thing to work. Playing in Taiwanese sucks.

  • Probably. I mean, I definitely want to try this game when it's released in America, but at the same time DBZ isn't too popular anymore, so they probably couldn't afford anything other than a less-than-decent team for creating it.

  • @Ryuu297 It's most definitely worth a try. It brought something new to the table for DBZ, that is, the ability to create our own characters. Though i'm not a fan of generic game click-n-grinders, so I was unphased by the multitude of nostalgia it brought, simply because of the gameplay.

I did manage to bring myself to play till I hit cap, though. It's not like it's horrible, it's just grindy like most other MMOS.

The time quests are amazing fun though. Majin buu killing frieza? Check.

  • @mattone I'll definitely have to check it out then. Though I'm not a fan of grinding, I do still love MMOs for the most part. Hopefully it gets a US release soon.

  • @Ryuu297 If the time between Korean and Taiwanese betas is any tell, it'll probably be dead over in korea before we see anything about it. Updates have stopped recently, and it's mostly been events, I guess we're just waiting for Android saga updates, since we've gotten costumes for all of them.

I would recommend trying the taiwanese version, it's in open beta, and it's not as difficult to sign up with as the Korean. It's not at the same update level (Obviously), but it's still fine.

  • Hexacores go to waste on pretty much all games anyway. Even quad is barely better on average than tri.

  • @Ryuu297 Exactly. But I figured at 3ghz with no overclock, dedicated entirely to the single process running DBO, would be able to run it without lag. I have my fifth thread running fraps, and sixth running any given MMO.

And for a majority of games, this makes it pretty much flawless, no lag, no bugs, no errors, etc.

But for some reason, DBO is either horribly optimized, or somethings wrong with my processor, i'm leaning towards the first option.
