The halo engine is pretty easy to hack, especially with custom edition. Much easier than making it from scratch. Also, I thought the graphics were pretty good for a beta. Not sure about the last question though.

I'm gonna start working on a fangame soon if I can get the money to buy the tools I need. But I'm fairly broke right now.

My skills are mostly animation and control theory. So all the slippery controls, "sliding" feet during running animations, and stiff-looking animations will not be a problem for my game.

However, I am only a novice scripter, so that's going to pose some problems for all the other aspects.

Not to mention the full version for an "MMO" would cost me over $900. xP
