Just because they are illegal were you live there are parts of america and europe im not sure but i think australia and new zealand are legal for them. JUst like the fact im getting a Scottish fold (Darwin cat) witch are illegal in alot of places as a deformed breed. they are a wonderful breed for a house cat and i WILL be getting mine in 2 weeks because its a wonderful freindly cat and is also our only Official iconic breed of scotland
