@ricky2878 if you didn't know already, real firearm munitions are fairly expensive, and so is a "real gun". Besides, Airsoft guns WERE NOT designed to replace firearms or it's use. If you are going to buy a $1200 AR-15 to shoot expensive ammo at a paper target, be my guest.

But if you only want to have fun on the backyard and shoot your friends with thousands of BBs cheaper than a box of 500x .22 rounds, without the hassle of killing neighbours, airsoft is a good choice.

i guess the conclusion here is that if you have an airsoft and someone is coming at you with even a small knife, not to try and repeatedly shoot the blade til its blunt, as you wont manage it in time, unless the person with a knife is also in a wheel chair...and you arent.

@JJsairsoft I would say the gun only shoots a max of 300 ft/sec. The rate of fire is very high because I am running the gun off a 19.2 volt source. (twice the voltage) I don't recommend anyone doing that, it's an easy way to break gears. I've just been lucky.
