@KisaClub I believe that the twins were hurt very badly when they were little and rin died. Len became a scientist and built a robot that was supposed to be exactly like rin but she lacked a heart (kokoro) Len became very sick. Robot rin doesnt understand what len is trying to do. Robot rin gets a messace from her future self which contains her heart (kokoro) Robot rin finally uderstand what len wanted. the two were happy for a little bit but Len died.

So in this verson Len&Rin were in an acident which killed Rin. Not wanting to be alone Len built a replacement Rin, But this Rin didn't have any human emotions. Len tryed to teach her and do the same things he and Rin use to do when they were little but nothing worked until there was an error in Rin's programing. Rin gained a heart and started to smile and sing. With Lens last breaths they sang one last song together. Knowing he was going to die Len left a copy of himself so Rin wouldnt be alone

@TkieSai actually it depends on which video youthis you are watching. most of the time len dies but he made a program(heart) for rin but he warned her no to use it because it could break her. she uses it long after he is dead and she is overwhelmed with feeling and dies. in one video i like, rin brings a bunch of flowers he showed her over to his body(which is still in the abandoned lab that they are in) sings beautifuly and the program turns out to be too much for her and she dies, beautifully.

Rin and Len are not related, even though most people see it as that, really, Kagamine means 'Mirror' and Len is the Mirror self of Rin, so they can't be related XD

because the songs made them that. Rin and Len Kagamine are Software programs on a computer. As the Vocaloid Master user you can make them say and sing what ever you want them to. That's the point of the program :) if they didnt have character models the only thing people would see towards them being "related" is the voice out puts of the program :) so really there is no right answer to the twin vs Mirror battle just preference :) Im not trying to be rude just saying how it is

@Momofirestar Well, they're twins in some songs, their mirror images in some, and in some they are just lovers. It depends on witch song their singing. Like in Servant of Evil, Len sings "two pitiful twins" so in that song, their twins. I listened to one song when they were mirror images. Len was trapped in a mirror, and Rin was living, so one day, when Rin was looking at the reflection, Len just pulled her into the mirror and he escaped the mirror. And then look at Prisoner and Paper Planes :)
