Honestly, do any of you people take basic economics. Cutting spending and taxes is only going to hurt the economy. Government spending is a key part of aggregate demand, reducing it will only bring it down. Cutting spending on unemployment benefits will reduce the purchasing power of consumers also bringing it down. The Democrats are right here, they need to stop the Republicans. The Tea Party is using the shutdown as a tool of blackmail and Obama and Reid are right to say "NO"
