responding to the audi bmw shaguar question, if i wanted a car that costed more than my bmw to own id opt for another porsche. audi is basically a bmw that doesnt look as good and falls apart quicker...and costs more to keep and fix without any functional advantage in drivability. jaguar's only appeal is aesthetics; this is true throughout the model range (inclusive of the DB series).
About 20 years ago Audi had a serious problem with their automatic gears engaging by themselves, and Audi lied and tried a cover up, that really hurt the Audi reputation. If the rumors about Jaguar is real, It would probably replace the X-type. It's the only car Jaguar hasn't replaced yet and it's a direct competitor to the 3 series. they should make an R version of that to compete with the M, RS and AMG.

I would rather have the 1970 Cuda that I had in high-scool with a 383 CI engine, racing cam and a 650 Holly double pumper carburetor, than to have the new Jaguar. I forgot to mention the positraction rear end and the hearst competition plus pistol grip four speed. I could smoke the tires for a good two blocks down the road.
Buying a Jag doesn't make any sense, they are too expensive, they aren't reliable, they cost a fortune to fix and maintain, and the resale value is zero. Audi's don't break, they make great, sexy, comfortable cars. Maybe the Jag has greater sex appeal, but its just not worth it.

I would rather have the 1970 Cuda that I had in high-scool with a 383 CI engine, racing cam and a 650 Holly double pumper carburetor, than to have the new Jaguar. I forgot to mention the positraction rear end and the hearst competition plus pistol grip four speed. I could smoke the tires for a good two blocks down the road.

Buying a Jag doesn't make any sense, they are too expensive, they aren't reliable, they cost a fortune to fix and maintain, and the resale value is zero. Audi's don't break, they make great, sexy, comfortable cars. Maybe the Jag has greater sex appeal, but its just not worth it.
I cant wait for Monday,s FLD I need another fix, now I'm totally addicted. Have a great week end guys and gals.
