I made a keyblade with this tutorial, not for cosplaying, cause I don't do that. Not for show, cause that would be boring. I use it for ACTUALLY FIGHTING(I used a metal rod instead of the pipe, so you can smash someones head and it will not bend or break.

I started to make a keyblade by this tutrial, but i have to ask, how did you make it so you couldn't see the edges of cardboard(the rugged side with holes in it)? Did you use glue to fill in the holes or did you just paint over it?

I just made one out of solid wood. If you're a noob at wood carving and fail at such though; this is REALLY good. Sadly I enjoy having a solid wood kerblade to overcompensate for something.

Good work. Suggestion: instead of using cloth you could tape the handle with black tape (electrical should work). That way you don't have to paint it and you can make it as thick as you want.

You can get pvc at home depot or other hardware stores. I believe a 10-foot pole of 3/4" was $1.40 or something close to that.
