I have alot of milkweed and the pods are now splitting and seeds are flying with the wind. I have 2 caterpillers that are still munching. I hope they will get to become a butterfly soon.

Although I agree that the music is annoying, the caterpillar stage looks like this antennae is playing a drum beat, which I'll take a stab at where the inspiration for the music came from (the inspiration to use the song selection for this video). Great vid though, I'm interested in attempting to breed Monarchs since they aren't too common in my area anymore.

I love the Monarch so much I had it tattooed on my arm. No other butterfly compares! :-) Great video. The music makes it. Great video quality, too. The Monarch species is dwindling. What can we do to help them?!

We have monarch caterpillars every year on our few tall milkweed plants, they suddenly appear when they're quite large...but then in a few days they completely strip the plant and dissapear overnight :(
