  • Is Zulu not to be a bit the same as Dutch or something? I learned this at school ^^

  • @MissesAriane You're thinking of Afrikaans which is closely related to Dutch. Both Zulu and Afrikaans are spoken in South Africa so that might've led to your confusion

  • where can you find the zulu version of this movie?

  • russian version is cooler

  • Nala means "luck" in Zulu.

  • @PinkPunkyKat No, Nala i Suahili means "hope" ;)

  • @Katrina9991000 Perhaps it's like "hi". It means hello in English, but in Japanese it means yes. Perhaps it has diffrent meanings in diffrent languages.

  • @Katrina9991000 ...No, it means "gift."

  • It's gorgeous in Zulu. It makes the film feel more authentic.

  • this movie really was something and still is. translated into 40 different languges. the lion king is probably the greatest story ever told.

  • interessant, aber schön

  • Whoohoo! I would love to watch the entire Lion King movie in an African language! :D Awesome version!

  • Omygosh, Simba's voice in this is simply BEAUTIFUL!!...Then again, Zulu in general is beautiful...but you get my drift. xD

  • @FrayGirl123 do i sense a sweeney todd reference in your comment?? :DDDDD

  • Nice!

  • it sucks that there are no other disney dubs in zulu! :-(

    It's a beautiful language!

  • whut country is the language ZULU from?

  • @zizumia , south Africa of course ;-)

    also in swaziland.

  • I've always wondered what language they use on the background music? Might anyone know?

  • it's called: uyes uthando... but it sounds like uyezuta...

  • Yaaaaay! I love it! Norweigen is runner up :)

  • amazing version

  • def everything seems to fit even in the english version there's many african sayings just look at Rafiki hehe but it def flows best in zulu

  • This version is so nice :) definitely one of the best ^^

  • zulu?

    That language exist????

    XD

  • To Kikiriki12345678:

No, this is all a figment of your imagination.

  • I was thinking the same thing xD

  • Zulu is spoken in the South Africa

    sigh no sense of culture

  • This language really fits the backingvocals of the choir en the whole music

  • Nala sounds so natural in Zulu :)

  • whats zulu???

  • Zulu is a native language from africa

  • Africa is a continent not a Country because Africa the continent has 8000 languages and it was in the guiness book of world records for having that many languages in the world.

Zulu is spoken in South Africa

  • so far...best language ive found of this sound....now to look for russian....

  • haha nice!

  • Zulu is such an amazing language... The youth pastor from my old church speaks it. The clicking is so complicated....

  • Shadowcat228 that's not clicking it's a K sound and pronounciation

  • Yes, but it sounds like a clicking sound and Zulu is often referred to as "the click language."

  • Hm so ignorance nope it's also referred to something else and Zulu is also kick ass language if you dare to learn lol

  • I personally know someone who moved here from Africa and he speaks Zulu, along with 6 other African languages including Shona and Swahili. It sounds like a click, regardless of what the letter actually is, and it's often called the click language.

  • What sounds like a click?

  • I think you actually mean the Namibian language. It has twice as many clicks as Zulu

  • the click language its Xhosa

the Zulu language has less clicks or are less common

  • zulu has 3 clicks, c, x & q. some people say that kh is a click because it only fits into the lingual clicking sector, to be honest I think it is too.

  • nice passages but nothing beats the russian version ( i m not russian )

  • russian is the best!

  • Wow its quite nice! i have this strange habbit of listening to disney songs in the language of the origin. Lol!

  • Zulu sounds great, thanks for the video

  • i think this is the first time i didn't like this song at all! timon sounds awful and nala sounds like my grandma...

the hungarian and the swedish versions is the most beautiful.

  • Timon's supposed to sound awful. :P

And it's more about the power of the chorus than anything else.

  • nala's voice is so good

  • In what country speak Zulu?

  • SouthAfrica

  • but only the old tribes speak it

  • no if you go to south africa most signs are in three languages: afrikaans, english and...zulu!

  • well I have to admitt I've never been there...but that was what I've heard...guess you must know it better then I do =)

  • I sent you the lyrics

  • Wow is soooooo Coool version ^-^

  • The lyrics!
