  • Awsooommmee ... I did this for my Grade 5 last year :D

  • Nice. Although the triplets are being played incorrectly.

  • the sound of his nails really annoys me, but this is beautiful. whatta piece

  • wow this is amazing! I find this song really hard to play well! If i had to give a tip, i would say remember that bars 25 to 40 are pp, so a little quieter!

  • I played this piece for my exam last Tuesday, the only part where i 'muck up' is at bar 47 (beat 2), my 4th finger always hits the F# when my 5th plays the G making it sound really blurred :( but you did it really well :)

  • im playing this piece too, well done you played very well!

  • the piano sound is a bit harsh. the second section is supposed 2 b piano, i think. in my opinion, you could have quietened it down a little. um..... i know that i am not say VERY experienced in piano, so..... i hope u'll forgive my straightforwardness.

  • I love this Piece, I'm taking my exam soon, well sometime in June/July waiting for my dates.

I'm doing Giga (I still have grasped that. GULP)

Norwegian Air (I Love this, I'm nearly there, i hope i don't mess it up in the exam)

In The Groove (I absoluty love this piece, i have thing for jazzy pieces, so i love this)

  • @CurlyConverse hey im doing the exact same pieces :) i love in the groove ! good luck in your exam whenever it is ;)

  • i want to go to Norway!

  • very well played, im finding the staccato a lil tricky!!

  • whoa... i'm learning this and... and... just whoa!

  • Well done! You played that really nicely!

  • you play really well! thanks so much this'll help me lots for my exam :)

  • im playing this piece for my exam and this was really helpful especially the middle, do u have any tips???

  • Your good!!

I need to play this song for my exam.

Do you have any tips for me?

  • I have checked the speed, and this is exactly like it! That is sooo daunting...

    Well played!

  • hi i'm taking my exam tis year am i'm doing Giga, Norwegian Air and En faisant un bouquet. Do anybody have any tips for tis piece? I just started tis piece and have already sorted the en faisant un bouquet

  • Yes that middle is speeded up!!! Major... any faster and the song would be over :P

I'm doing this piece and i got the hang of it straight away and the same with In the groove... (I just have to make it more my own and im sorted)... But Giga... I'm Stumped... its so fast and if i go any faster the keys will be on fire. FAST!! Oh well More pratise is needed... I'm slowly getting there.

  • u need 2 take the pedal off more in the beginning and end bcoz it muddies the brilliant melody

  • very nice...

  • wao!!!nice!

  • wow so good i'm just start to learning this song

  • his tempo is the same there it is just staccato and seems faster

  • He deffinately speeds up!

  • I love playing this piece! It is the most fun piece ever. If you play it at like 2x this speed, it is awesome but my teacher tells me off... apparently going too fast in the exam is worse than going too slow... :-(

  • im doing this for my As level performance piece ... any tips???

  • yeah. dont watch this lol.

  • damn! you played that in a minute!! dude that would have taken me atleast 5 haha

  • very good! :)

  • whers the dynamics in that??

  • I know, right? -.-

  • wow great, do you play the pp bits or can i just not hear properly, do you really have to play that fast seriously i do them tis christmas and im not that good ha x

  • Just a note - I did my exam in July and did this piece. It DOESN'T have to be quite this fast - I did it quite a bit slower and got 27/30 for it :)

  • wow i love this. im still learning it atm

  • lol...all i know...is my exams are coming in another 20 days ...i wonder if they had a book or video on how to master your piano in 20 days ..??

  • can you teach me??????

  • same with you and I'm having it tomorrow T.T

  • thats the pieces im doing :D

  • Same Here!!!!! x :D x

  • haha samee!

  • fluctuate, it changes a lot in an irregular way.

  • i don't play this piece this fast... and my piano teacher thinks this piece isn't this fast.... should i play it as fast as this video and play it my way??

  • its only 160.. this is a tad fast ... buh onli a little

  • Wow. That's what I'm doing too. On thursday. ARGH! :)

  • I love 0:25, the change in it,,

  • i played this piece!!!!! got 26/30 for it :D was very pleased

  • Woah I'm doing exactly the same haha I didn't know this had to be so fast ahhhhhhh

  • its soo fast.. ahh..im soo gonna fail.

  • you're sooo good!!!

  • Yeah, its [i think] 160.

    x

  • Hey, just to ask what other pieces are you doing for your grade 5? Ive just started mine and am feeling scared because I didn't know this went that fast!!! x x x

  • im doin giga, en faisant en bouquet and norweigan air

  • im going giga, norweigan air and staccato beans :)

  • im doin exactly the same pieces as u...!! have u learnt them all??

  • i just listen to this over and over and over again!!!! i love it how it completely changes in the middle!!! #Greig is amazing. but a bit depressing sometimes. have you heard asses todd (or something like that!) Its the most depressing piece of music that i have heard in my life!!!

  • full on AMAZING tbh, i love this piece:)

    you play it fantasticly:)

  • thanks this has really helped me a LOT

i usually hate the B pieces but I love them this year

  • Good playing. However, I think your wrists are too low - they should be above the keys. It might make playing easier.

  • look at 0:39!! Are his hands swapping of did he just move them down? O__O

  • He moved them down... look at the fingers? LOL. this is good!!

  • You have beautiful hands <3

  • Why does the title says Norwegian air?

  • cause, thats the name of the piece.

  • It tells you in the footnote of the ABRSM book that it's a miniature character-piece originally entitled "Norsk" which means Norwegian, but as Grieg was a Norwegian nationalist and the piece conjures up the spirit of Norway I reckon Norwegian Air is a good translation.

  • yes thats the recommended tempo, but if you play the piece a bit slower but well then i doubt the examiner will mind

i think all the metronome marks are editors suggestions anyway

    good luck!!

  • Really good. :)

I'm playing this for my Grade 5, but do you know if it has to be played that fast? Because my fingers aren't quite that quick!

  • 93Emu93 - the more you get to know the music, in your subconscious mind, the quicker and more naturally your fingers will work ;o)

  • OMG!

    great..

  • i have to agree with ness1ness :)

  • wow, i'm doing this piece for my exam this term i can only hope that someone as good as you doesn't go before me or straight after... lol

  • OMG agreed. Never will I be this good! lol

  • fabulous...

  • *applauds*
