WheelsTV lies. I have that car and it's not as they say it is. The car is good but what they're saying is overly-biased and not entirely truthful. For example, the CD changer is in the trunk, not the glove box. If you own this car you know exactly what I'm talking about.

@PirateIt the cd changer was in the glovebox of this model that we drove. Perhaps because this was a 2005 carried over to a 2006 this is one of those slight changes made by MB. Our videos are always unbiased and we research each car extensively to make sure our information is as accurate as possible. Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks for replying. I have the 2008 US version of the SLK 55 AMG model. I like my car, but I don't think it's anything special. The only reason I chose AMG over the other models is because of the feel of the vehicle.

@PirateIt AMG is a good choice over the base models because you get that extra performance. Glad to hear you enjoy it! Perhaps because this is a 2006 video and you're driving a 2008 model that is why the cd changer is not in your vehicles glovebox. Suttle changes tend to occur from year to year even if the body doesn't change much.

@PirateIt What are you talking about? I have the 2008 model as well... and it blows the 350 out of the water, one of the fastest cars iv been in ever... I got 4.2 secs on it 0-60 time, and the feel of the vehicle is of-course unbelievable.

By the way this is a 2005. The orion blue color is only available in the years 2005 and 2009.

my father bought a silver one of these. It is a incredible feeling actually driving this car. IT BEGS you to go fast. The seat literally hugs you like your in a roller coaster and the acceleration is very nice. You just gotta love the sound of the engine roar when it takes off. Love baby alot!

it's a 5,455 cilinder engine and it's called 55 amg because it's mercedes history just like they call the new 63 amg's, and those are 6.2 cilinder engine's

no, the c55, the clk55, and the slk55 use atmospheric, I thinck it is in order to not to kill the market for the bigger models, cos if the slk had the 456 bhp supercharged 5.5 V8 (later 517bhp and almost 800Nm of torque, in 2007 they have modified it) there will be no use on buying a big and heavy SL55AMG.

yes, they are all 5.4 liter v8s, not the same ones thogh, the e55, s55, sl55, cl55, cls55 have thiers supercharged, the slk55, c55, clk55, ml55 are naturals.
