  • I have a Darth Vader Mask from Halloween.. Gonna use that :)

  • @TheBipolarGemini Air kills the AIDs virus. Bleach does not kill mold seeing as its a liquid and is adding moisture to a problem created by moisture. Also Mold is like an iceberg the parts you see at the top could be the smallest with the greater portion lying below the surface. Bottom line is you're an idiot.

  • @thefloodguru If bleach doesnt kill mold what does?

  • @Thebeerman301 Hydrogen Peroxide (I've read online).

  • You are an idiot, dont talk about things you dont understand just because you think you are smart. Oregon State University did a study on the effects of bleach on mold, guess what, you may have caused alot of people expensive problems with your stupid uninformed video. Try educating yourself before you educate others. BLEACH DOES NOT KILL MOLD. Google it.

  • well can we SEE him cleaning the mold with the bleach...? i wanted to see with my own eyes how he does it, not just him standing and talking. horrible video

  • @TheBipolarGemini Do not EVER use anything so toxic as bleach~!!!

    i would use Vinegar.

  • @TheBipolarGemini ya I think so to I did this and then Vinger just to make sure one of them would have to work

  • I have it from a mold remediation contractor that bleach does kill mold but that it doesn't kill it before it has a chance to eject spores which is it's reaction to being killed. The spores settle on nearby surfaces and you and begin to grow again.

I have cleaned up mold with bleach and it did not come back. All molds will react differently.

A paper mask is insufficient. Mold spores are very small. Commercial grade respirator with correct filters. Double bag tarps and cloths when done.

  • I heard a mold expert say not to use regular household bleach because it contains 99% water. He said rather to use Clorox Outdoors which you can buy at Lowes or Home depot. But for small jobs like the guy in this video is doing, regular bleach is probably fine.

  • People usually aren't allergenic...(allergenic - relating to or having the effect of an allergen)

  • this guy does not know what he is talking aobut... bleach does not work. dumb ass... i dont know how people like u get work.

  • "That will HOPEFULLY kill it" rofl... doesn't sound too confident. Obviously, he's not really sure of himself.

I'm thinking maybe expert village pays people cents for videos to make a "how-to" and he just thought this would be the easier way to make a few cents :P

  • bleach does not kill mold dummy

  • @panache101 Bleach has 3-6% sodium hypochlorite which is the main ingredient in most mold killers. It can kill mold on flat surfaces like tiles and glass, but will not penetrate through porous surfaces like dry wall and will grow back.

  • Wow this dude talks fast! He must be nervous. To anyone with a bathroom humidty problem, if at all possible, put a small dehumidifier in your bathroom! We live in a high humidity part of the country, and our bathroom sees alot of showers daily, and the dehumidifier really dries the air and towels, quickly and easily. The towels can go MUCH longer in between washings, and the tile/tub area doesn't get moldy.

  • I solved my mold problem.

    It's very easy.

    Vinegar.

The towels in my bathroom were disgusting. After a few hours they were smelling bad and a couldn't breath...

Solution: 2 thirths of bottle of water and 1 thirth of vinegar. Spray it over everything and the bad smell is gone.

Here in the US the houses are prone to proliferation of mold and mildew because a lot of the bathrooms do not have a window and do not get aerations and sunlight. Differently than most other coutries. Vinegar can help.

  • Well I always heard nothing beats bleach. So, no more? I really appreciated coming across this video and would like to thank 'expertvillage' for posting this. I would like to know about alternatives to bleach if that is the case. My home needs help. A lot! Me, too. My concern about bleach alternatives is, if it is toooo strong, it will likely be as bad if not worse for my health! I will check out more of your postings, and again. THANKYOU!

  • the biggest tip is not to let it get there in the first place

  • Don't use bleach! It just makes mold go away for a few days it doesn't actually kill it! There is this product called "Mold Control 500" It kills the spores so the mold doesn't come back!

  • What ratio of bleach to water should be used?

  • DO NOT USE BLEACH.... Bathrooms are nutorius for fussarium mold which produces T2 Toxin which is used in biological weapons. Most molds now days will not be affected by the use of bleach, this is why clorox no longer advertises that thier product should be used for mold. Bleach is no longer a recomended product from the EPA and CDC either.

  • what would you recommend for mold removal?

  • Because of my suseptability of serious illness my opinion is to remove it and what it is growing on but that is not practical for everyone. There are two people who I trust with my life and they are the most knowledgable people I know. I suggest reading anything by Carl Grimes, Jeffery Mays and for the illness Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker. You can find them on Amozon. Honestly I doubt you can find anyone who knows more on the situation. That is my best advice.
