I called and talked with Hennepin County Administrator Richard Johnson. I asked him what was the reasoning for removing the tents at 1 AM. He said it was to minimize disturbance. I said I thought it might get more unwanted attention having been so cruel to disturb and move people in the middle of the night. What a cowardly act.
@Anomki So what did Richard Johnson say when you said that it was cruel to disturb and move them in the middle of the night. It seems that the Occupiers were well awake. (and already knowing that they couldn't sleep there).
@Schtuppit He was silent and unapologetic on it, simply listening to my complaint. I wasn't at the tent event that time. I was however the only one standing watch for several hours over all the resting plaza occupiers as they explored their theta and delta waves this past Friday morning (they had no tents, just mats, bags, good clothing, tarps and shared body heat whenever possible).
just remember that in non-violent civil disobedience that you have to remain non-violent, and civil and non confrontational at all costs. Kudos to you guys for raising awareness. Congrats on continued movement. and remember don't give them an excuse to harm you. ...they may harm you, that's what they think they are paid to do but don't give them a reason even in your practice of civil disobedience.
I heard that most the tents are vacant at night cause the protesters are poseurs who live in high-rent apartments.

@Schtuppit Occupiers slept at the People's Plaza until the 8th of December 2011, I was present then.
