This song has held up beautifully; it is timeless! Easily, it could be played on any rock, alternative, college, Christian, or Country station today, and folks would stop what they are doing just to listen. And they would want to hear it again. Some music was before its time. Time needs only to catch up with this song....!
@bowman62rd absolutely!!!!! i have felt the same way for years about this....somebody somewhere should cover this...and do it justice....this whole album was ahead of its time
@8888gring Instead of a "cover", I'd enjoy hearing the Original Musicians playing again as a re-union. To me, too often "covers" sadly don't capture the creative magic. Yes, 23 years have passed; voices and abilities change. I learned about F2F from my younger brother when he attended Westminster College in W.PA; F2F either played there or a related event around 1988-89. I listened to his album over and over! At least here on YT, I can revisit as often as I need, when I need my friends!
today and it sounded somewhat familiar. By the end of the song, I was really itching to hear it again. Thank you for posting it! I had forgotten this local Boston band. The last time I heard this song was probably when it was released. Now, if I could just find ALL of the lyrics.
One of my all time favorite albums!!!!! Evey song on it is a hit!!! Bought 2 copies of the lp so I could download...as they want $150.00 for the CD ( it is D/C'd)...thanks for uploading!!! Wish they would reunite!!! The lead singer is Laurie Sargent & still performs @ Boston w/ other musicians ...but nothing like the combination of musicians that were in this 1988 band!!!! My regret .... never getting to see them while they were still performing!!
Yes! Yes! Yes! thanks for posting! I also listened to this cassette tape a million times! I think Laurie Sargent is one of the most underrated female vocalist of that time. Sadly, I lost the cassette tape, but still have the cover with all the lyrics...Just haven't been able to hear this tune in almost 20 years. Thanks again!
Outstanding post. Believe it or not this is only the 3rd time I heard this song in the last 20+ years. I heard the first 2 on the radio and have not heard it until now. The woman who sing this song, who is she? Her voice is one of the best I heard. I like the mixing of rock guitar and the country like melody. Once again great post.
I love this song, awesom lyrics. I remember listening to this entire albulm through the first time and loving each song. I think I saw these guys twice warm up for the Alarm.
my best of theirs were 10-9-8,, that one was extremely SPLASH.

Great album. I'm lucky enough to own the cd as I bought when it came out. I think Angelo is a big deal as a producer (Kings of Leon) these days?
