Wow this video makes this college look gorgeous. It's alright as a Community College but it's not THAT great as what you seen on the video. Attended 2 years. at UCR now. Good memories there though.

I just graduated from SMC and let me tell you that it is the best college you can ever imagine! the environment, the faculty, and the students are AMAZING. Wish i could never leave but that is life! For new students: enjoy your time at SMC you will not regret it.

you guys should check international student office because I know many people find their rooms through the papers stapled on the wall. my friend lives on 16th&pearl and pays $550 for his own room, it takes 30 seconds to walk to the campus. there are good deals going on, do not miss them ...

Yeah that´s the thing that I´m worried about. I don´t want to pay tons of money for rent. I know that I will have to share apartment or live in dorms with others but I´m a little worried that someone will steal my stuff. I think that I will have to work everyday so I don´t have to borrow a lot of money. I have just saved a little money. I haven´t decided yet if I´m going to Santa Monica but I need to decide really soon.

Usually they send an e-mail for international applicants. You should try to call them at their admission and records office. Ha, for me I just applied online and I was in. lol

Hey! I'm going to SMC in the fall too! AND I just moved out here from Alabama so we're practically neighbors haha! Have you enrolled in classes yet? OMGosh i love the campus, i've been up there twice and I love it everytime i'm up there! And the people are ultra friendly! Last time I was up there I met some cool people who showed me where the Assessment Center was and waited until I finished and then showed me around campus! It's awesome!

Yeah I picked four classes for this semester. I'm actually visiting at the end of this month to find an apartment. Then I'm coming back to florida, packing everything and then moving over there like around aug.15th.

Any advice on moving? I've never moved before, lol.

And good luck on the apartment search lol..i've been out here a month and still haven't found one but a friend of mine found hers in a few days so maybe I'm just picky lol. Advice...Don't pack anything you don't REALLY need...you'll find yourself throwing away alot of stuff when you get here lol. I actually love moving..it was so much fun! lol. Let me know if you need help moving in when you get here! Oh and I saw that you are also a theatre student! WE ROCK! HAHA!
