I had a neighbor who did this for years in the desert of southern california. He flipped it one time, and broke his neck. He died. It was so quiet afterwards. And, over time, I forgot all about that. This brought back memories. Hopefully, this will take care of itself. Like what happened to my lousy, noisy, neighbor. His trike, still is out there, rusting away. Happened before they came out with those quads...

They told me its legal for them to ride on their property...but not on streets...they run the streets all the time...but I was told a Sheriff would have to physically see them. I finaly got the local news out to videotape them riding for hours all day long...this is not kids but loser offspring that are 20 somthig plus that do nothing all day and night except party. After the news show and a petition sent to them sighned by all the neighbors they finally stopped...has been peaceful here since. The cops were useless..they said they had to see them IN the road to do anything..even video was not good enough for them...FIGHT THE WHITE TRASH....dont hit them.

This is what I hate about Indiana. There's these stupid rednecks that are super-amazed by a freaking dirt bike and when they see a computer they're like "Woww.... a computer. Sweet" And they sit in their backyards with their kids and they smoke like three packs a day and the smoke goes through your window. They have bon fires every night. Then they let their kid walk their untrained dog with fleas and you get attacked by it while you're enjoying yourself. They're inconsiderate.

I live in an urban area. Kids riding dirt bikes on like a half acre. Annoying as hell, not to mention the yard is trashed and makes me sick every time I look at their yard. Nip it in the but early! I let them go for months and it just kept getting worse. Finally went over there to ask if they could be considerate and maybe not ride at night once the street lights went on. i had the same problem teenage boys riding motorbikes and drinking outside my house at sometimes like 4 am i solved the problem by threatening their parents with physical violence if it continued. i can now hear a pin drop outside my house forget the police they wont help . and put that camera away and confront the situation head-on its the only way infact take your camera and film the confrontation

If we could ride quieter bikes and quads alot of us would. People blow some things out of proportion though. Granted this is annoying but my neighbors play loud music, shoot bird shots right in town. Firecrakers for weeks at a time around 4th of July. Cars with loud pipes go by and wake people up in the middle of the night. Lawn mowers, buses, etc.
But as soon as I fire my bike up all the neighbors are just looking at me angrily. It's ridiculous at times.

What i would do is at night string some PIANO wire between the trees just about neck level. I used to have some plants growng outside my door and the Mexican kids kept pulling them out and tossing them on the sidewalk so one day i went down the canyon and with some gloves dug up some poison ivy and put it in a pot and left it out there. Well if i dont get respect i settle for FEAR.
If that doesn't work, go and gather every neighbor you can and then go back and talk with them, with piece in your voice, not anger. If you approach with anger in your tone, they will put up their guard and defend the attack. Pray to God for the right words, then approach them with love in your heart. Maybe you can work out an agreement that he can ride on certain days for 30 minutes each time or something.
contact the city/county; if it's a city, city hall and the city council; if it's the county, the county commisioners. they can toughen up the noise ordinance law. if it were me, i'd get some tractor tires, fill them with concrete attach chains from 1 to another, load them up in a truck and place them across that path with a notice posted or just park your car there. good luck; that is truly ridiculous.

There is another lady who lets her 6 or 7 year old girl play in the street unattended.

I can feel your pain!!! I understand to some this maybe no big deal, however when you hear this sound over and over, all day,day after day, and if you live in my hood put the sound of a junk pick up truck engine not moving just reving all day on top of that it makes you want to pull your hair out. Also live in indiana also noyhing to do but just live with it.

i had the same problem teenage boys riding motorbikes and drinking outside my house at sometimes like 4 am i solved the problem by threatening their parents with physical violence if it continued. i can now hear a pin drop outside my house forget the police they wont help . and put that camera away and confront the situation head-on its the only way infact take your camera and film the confrontation

If we could ride quieter bikes and quads alot of us would. People blow some things out of proportion though. Granted this is annoying but my neighbors play loud music, shoot bird shots right in town. Firecrakers for weeks at a time around 4th of July. Cars with loud pipes go by and wake people up in the middle of the night. Lawn mowers, buses, etc.
But as soon as I fire my bike up all the neighbors are just looking at me angrily. It's ridiculous at times.

So if you'd live in that neighborhood that you paid to live in that house, you'd move out? Right... As an avid dirt bike racer/owner I ride responsibily on closed courses. I put up with my neighbors with their pack of wolves 365 days a year yet, I get angry stares if I ride around my yard for 5 minutes to test out a new part or two. Get a life people. If not call the cops. As long as you're within sound ordinances you're fine. Neighbors do other annoythings to me. House parties at 2am aren't fun

What i would do is at night string some PIANO wire between the trees just about neck level. I used to have some plants growng outside my door and the Mexican kids kept pulling them out and tossing them on the sidewalk so one day i went down the canyon and with some gloves dug up some poison ivy and put it in a pot and left it out there. Well if i dont get respect i settle for FEAR.

Have you tried talking to him or his parents?
If that doesn't work, go and gather every neighbor you can and then go back and talk with them, with piece in your voice, not anger. If you approach with anger in your tone, they will put up their guard and defend the attack. Pray to God for the right words, then approach them with love in your heart. Maybe you can work out an agreement that he can ride on certain days for 30 minutes each time or something.

contact the city/county; if it's a city, city hall and the city council; if it's the county, the county commisioners. they can toughen up the noise ordinance law. if it were me, i'd get some tractor tires, fill them with concrete attach chains from 1 to another, load them up in a truck and place them across that path with a notice posted or just park your car there. good luck; that is truly ridiculous.

I live in Bangor ME and I have weird neighbors. Lot of them own 3 dogs and at the same time have lots of cats. There is barking all day and cats fighting at night. I've got this one lady in the apartment next to me named Lee who is an OK lady but she cooks this stuff that smells like dirty dypers & she wont open a window, and since last night shes been sprying this real strong purfume to cover it up. There is another lady who lets her 6 or 7 year old girl play in the street unattended.

I totally feel for you. In our town in northern Ontario we have neighbours who think it's fun to drive their snowmobiles onto our yard and rev them up at all hours of the night. Worse part is that in our town, which we are moving away from, every other house has either a snowmobile or ATV which is EXTREMELY LOUD and annoying. I feel for you. Some people are just axxholes!

i had same prob with boyz on mini motorbikes all day every day. it stopped when my m8s dog chased and smashd 1 ova and when my otha m8 set the pavement on fire (the bike was drippin oil) and it made da bike explode :P
