I agree, the new layout is kinda stupid. But this whole reaction is just so childish. I think the percentage of people that don't really give a shit about the new layout is higher than the one that cares as much as leaving the site and declearing it dead.

Also, remember the whole reaction about the current channel design? 2 weeks after that, no one talked about it again. Just grow up man.

I can't tolerate ugly grey shit though. and I don't have to "just grow up" because Youtube NEEDS to be aware that there are people who DISAGREE with their changes. We have to at least attempt to let Youtube know we won't stand for this, otherwise they will continue to show more terrible website changes down our throat. It's already bad enough that almost anyone can get partnered through fullscreen -_-'

@TheAxeFish again, the "youtube dies" is more of a reference to nostalgic youtube. im not good at accepting change, and im especially not good at accepting BAD change, which is what a lot of people agree this new cosmic panda layout to be. who knows, maybe the boring greyness will dull our minds enough to get used to it, although I still wish they'd at least fix up cosmic panda's color scheme. The layout itself isnt terrible, the boring greyness is.

They've managed to take all of the information and content accessible on the current channel page, and spread it all out over multiple pages and tabs which are unintuitive and confusing to navigate (see: channel comments, playlists, etc.).

Additionally, the channels are much more vertical than before, so you have to do a fuck ton of scrolling to find anything.

Google doesn't care; people have been griping about the new look for quite a while now before they decided to make it mandatory. A quick look over at the YouTube Feedback & Suggestions forum shows that the Google employees could care less what anyone thinks about it, and trust me, there is nary a positive word about it.

The only way to send a message at this point is to close your account entirely by March 1st and just don't use YT at all if you can keep from it. That's what I'll be doing.
