He is really cute :) And it's nice to see an "old" cockatiel in very good health ! You must be a very good parent for him :). (I know 14 is not an old age, but it's more than a lot of hand feed cockatiel you can see now.)

My cockatiel is a girl but she does the exact same thing. I thought my bird was just weird but i guess its not just her. That's adorable.But what i don't understand is why do most cockatiels open their wings ad sing when you wave a towel in front of them?

LOL my cockatiel loved this video XD It took forever to teach him the wolf-whistle, because he's relatively older than a new bird and his previous owner had dogs and snakes in the house and didn't train him, so he's kind of a nervous scardy-bird, but we're trying to cheer him up. The two rats he gave us are really old, but they're really shy, too. Probably those dogs. They got his first parrot and his sugar-glider =S I'd be nervous if I was a small animal int hat house, too XD

I am holding a towel above his head. He likes a lot of weird things like plastic bags and socks. He gets obsessed over things and if you move them he will chase you.

Are you holding a cloth over his head to make him talk? My bird is obsessed with fabric, and its how we get him to talk!
