thank you so very much it has been so many years since i heard this lady sing it brought back so many lovely memories she was a remarkable little lady with a voice that had no end
i've been back many times but thought i'd let you know how much this is enjoyed and appreciated. i just needed to hear something that made me smile. thanks again, jg
I saw her at the Madison Theater around 1961 at a Rock n Roll show in Brooklyn she was the best. Outclassed them all. Her voice was so powerful in person. My favorit song , that she sang that night "I'm So HURT" Beautiful ,I saw Elvis do a version of it at vegas they both were GREAT!
I met Timi back in 1961,what a voice, she was a delightful person, and a fabulous performer.About the Rock"n"Roll hall of fame, you really don't want to know how we all feel about it,all I can say is Alan Freed would have never allowed this to happen.Sincerely,The Original Chevelles.
I just gave my wife of 45 years a goodnight kiss. She asked, who are you listening too? I said Timi Yuro. She remarked, " Remenber the night we met?" lol Oh yes indeed. The best night of my life. The DJ played HURT by Timi. I got to dance with the girl I fell in love with and married 5 weeks later. Yes, 5 weeks and 45 years later. Without Timi, I would not have danced with my love. So Ms Yuro. Thank You so much.
Just such a wonderful Talent and such a pleasure to listen to, so glad TouTube is around so we can still see and hear her magnificent voice. Love all of her music.
3 of the greatest female voices in the world Patsy Cline, Timi Yuro and Connie Francis. It is a shame they have all been taken away from us,(with the exception of Connie, who is still alive), I listen to them all every day. Their voice especially Patsy and Timi reach so deep down of your soul and the feeling is too hard to describe. Timi may you and Patsy keep the angels in line.
Something is not kosher when two great Italian- American singers like Timi and Connie Francis are not in the R&R HOF while their male counterparts have no trouble regarding election.....
I discovered Timi a couple of months ago, glad I did....she is incredible...wish I could have seen her in person...sorry the rest of the world did not get a chance to know her and her talent...May She Rest In Peace....and I will treasure her music..!!!
With that name I thought it was a japaness. Definitly an unique voice, her brake is wonderfull. Sad somebody like her is to be a tribute. And good somebody make it to be remembered, ... or known as in my case. THANKS !
She has that velvety, powerful voice like dynamite, verging on Brenda Lee's. She has all the attributes and qualification to that prestigiuous, oftentimes sprurious and lackluster RandR Hall of Fame or Shame/
Timi Yuro gets inside of this classic Charlie Chaplan "Smile" with such emotional depth & vocal brilliance that it is truly stunning to listen to and experience...nobody topped this great singer who is totally in a class all by herself...Bravo Timi!!!
Now this is what I call a true SOUL SINGER - and she was so under rated - the world is not the same without your soulful voice Timi - you really are sadly missed and this
timi yurowas the greatest singer ever.

I have never heard of this woman, what a shame, she has an incredible voice. Connie on the other hand ,most of her songs were depressing.

Someone educate me...why did Timi Yuro die so young? Natural causes or booze and pills like Elvis Presley? Either way, her talent is missed.

She died of throat cancer in 2004.
