I don't like very much japanese bands because they look like fugly colorful trannies and the fact that I don't understand moonspeak. At least, these guys don't seem like wierdos and their music seems pretty average to me.
@DomesticMeat The bands you are talking about make music in a genre called visual kei, which is an underground genre in Japan. It's normal bands like this one which are popular. Yet, outside of Japan, people seem to be more interested in Visual-kei for reasons I don't understand. Most Japanese bands don't look like trannies, it's just that many people in your country and many other non Asian countries, are only interested in the weirdest Japanese things, that most Japanese know nothing about.
@taylor4570 You can't compare American and Japanese music. Modern J-rock/J-pop draws a LOT of influences from the American music scene, but still, it's like comparing apples to oranges. It's all good music!
Totally agree with @Kermalvianknight . As long as bands like Asian Kung Fu Generation, Bump of Chicken, RADWIMPS etc exist, it's almost impossible for the foreign population that listens to J-Rock to decrease.
well, there are like 30+ songs which includes j-pop (peach, lifetime respect onna hen, Ikenai Taiyō,etc.), anime soundtracks (Doraemon, Gundam, Dragon Ball Z), Video game soundtracks (Idol M@ster, Sould Caliber 2), Classical songs (Symphony No.5, La Campanella, Classic Medley) and some Namco original songs :3
I loved this song from the moment I heard it... and it moved a part of me, even before I really knew how it translated. This music video makes me cry... it's so lovely! Those kids are really cute too!
My favorite band in any language, really. I only understand the lyrics when I look at them written in English, but the beauty of music is that you don't have to speak a language to appreciate it.
Too true. So far their song that really made me look back is "Glass no Blues (28years Round)". It can have different effects depending on the person, so far I perceive it as the "My Way" of Japan with a less glamorous but more refined feel.
I'm running Windows XP and I just went to my control panel, and regional setting languages thing, and there is an option there where you can choose to download the East Asian Languages pack. Once you do that, you can switch back and forth from English to Japanese using your language bar.
this sounds like harukaze of SCANDAL the bleach theme song for season 15 opening.

Japanese music is so much better than American music. Sorry i know thats highly opinionated, but still i'm find this to be more and more true.

@taylor4570 It is. The Japanese language was made for singing I think.

if you need translation of lyrics, why don't you ask Japanese people?
they would be willing to do that for you, because this lyric is awesome too!
i want you to know the meaning as a bump fan.
well you could ask me if you don't care that my english is not so good X(
languages are hard to study,
so keep on that!
someday you will be able to listen-and-understand!!
