@jennamarblesfan19 I think that yes, in a way, it is about love. Not relationship love, but the love Katniss feels for her family and friends. If she didn't love Prim the way she did, there would be no story other than Katniss watching her sister in the Games. Most of Katniss' decisions are based on love (even the survival aspect, since she promised her sister she would try to win) I agree though, if I see one more "team Peeta" or "team Gale" thing I'm going to scream.

everyone needs to calm down lol obviously this isn't twilight. the books are amazing, and have a wonderful story. never does it come to any sort of twilighty team choosing, but yes i do have to admit i LOVE peeta, but i'm not on a team. i just think he is wonderful. but you can like whoever you want, and everyone shouldn't freak out if you prefer one over the other. that's the point in having the two male characters.

Honestly, I pictured Effie with less wrinkles and a little bit of spike in her hair... And I pictured Haymitch with brown hair, but other than that they got both of them perfect, in my eyes! Although, Cinna, I admit, had lighter skin in my eyes. President Snow didn't have quite that long hair, and Peeta I always pictured with his hair over his eyes some. Gale Katniss and Prim though... i just finished reading the first book yesterday. does/did it bother anyone else as much as me that Catniss did not seem to fully appreciate/love Peeta for what he did? she literally owes him a TON. And she can't sort out her feelings for Gale? They never even talked romantically in the book and she's been through everything with Peeta in the Games. I don't even care that i sound like a total woman, someone who has read all the books--please inform me if this changes--without revealing too much!

@Meff15236 You definitely need to read the next two books, as her relationship with each of them is further explained, expanded and explored. :) Remember that Gale and Katniss hunted together for 4 years, creating a very close bond between them. Katniss can't sort out her feelings for Peeta however due to the fact that it's all been in front of the camera, which makes it seem unreal. It's a great adventure following the "love triangle" through the books, during a time of unrest in Panem.

@cowman1025 sounds good...i have a little bit of a better perspective on her relationship with gale now....especially since i didn't seem to note how early their relationship started and how long the duration of their relationship lasted. very excited to see the movies! i just really hope they don't mess up the books. I think one of the easiest ways to screw up a movie is with the casting...i don't like the choice for Haymitch one bit--however I believe that Katniss and Peeta are spot on!

I've never seen a movie with the man playing Haymitch, and he doesn't look how I pictured, but I'm confident they picked someone who will be able to play the part well :)
