My husband has a disease called Huntingtons and this song helps him a lot. Hi sname is Michale and he tries to sing along with it. Thank you so very much for sharing this video . God bless you.
Redford Fortunately Bobby Ewing came back to life the next season. I wish they would rerun "Dallas" I was in surgery during that show. I only got to see Bobby's funeral. "Dallas" My favorite show I lived there for over a year. I even guarded Pam's mom's house. which is in North Dallas. the guy who owned it was Nick DeGuiseppe. The house itself went for 5 million dollars. Quite beautiful it was. Course rich people can't pronounce Cabana right LOL It was great too.
Row, row, row your boat, life is but a dream. That's how I feel about the deaths of Michael Landon and Michael Jackson. Any day now, I will wake up and realize it was all a bad dream, just like Bobby Ewing in that cliffhanger episode of the TV show Dallas.
This is one of my all time favorite campfire songs. I sing this song to my 8 week old grandson when he's getting ready to go to bed & it puts him in a really good mood so he goes right to sleep. What a beautiful & peaceful song.
I know I am a transplant from an earlier time ! I was born in 1965 , this was before my time .I love all the 60's folk music , Just touches The soul. Thank you for this .
We can make it to shore if we all work together. The river is deep and the river is wide, milk and honey on the other side, hallelujah....................
Thank you so much for posting this. For a few minutes I can enter grammadoll's time machine and be happy again in a better world. Retro45rpm, thanks much!
I would give anything to return to that time when this song came out. Things seemed to be so good and right. My god! What has happened to us in the last fifty years?
I was only about 12 years old when this song came out on the radio. But, even at that young age, there was something about that song that really struck a chord with me. To this day I have never grown tired of listening to it.
My uncle died on the same day(April 9, 2011). I think we will sing this song at his memorial when the family comes together in June to remember him. Awesome song!
Gil was my music teacher when I was in 3rd grade. An engaging smile and a smart bow tie back in 1959. Another iconic folk singer has left us. Rest in peace, Gil; guess the boat made it to shore.
Almost 50 years ago and I'm still here. Amazing.....An all time favorite song. Takes me back to being a junior in high school. Ya gotta love music...it's like a time machine. Thanks for posting.
@grammadoll Yes it is.Time, and time, and half a time. For we are in the time's The key is Glory the lord of Host from the begining. Not the end'sFor they look up for a sun to save them.On a sunday. The late, multi-talented, Gil Robbins was a member of The Highwaymen.
"Michael" -now a Bona Fide American classic- was THEIR song.
Recording-date? Irrelevant.
