Canon S5 IS ~ Optical Zoom of 12 x (36 - 432 mm equiv) plus Telephoto 1.5x (TC-DC58B) taking it a 35 mm film equivalent of 648 mm) check my website at *simbird* for more info... Simon :-)
Wow that's some really good range. simbirdcom I own a canon s5is myself, and I'm looking to buy the TC-DC58B tele converter lens as well as the lens adaptor. I couldn't help but wonder; You know how the lens adaptor comes with a hood aswell? Can you attach the hood to the lens AFTER attaching it to the adaptor? I could REALLY use some answers and thank you for the beautiful images.
Thank you ~ I'm not sure about a hood ? But looking on the S5 it has a Conversion lens adaptor LA-DC58E screwed to the body and then the Tele-converter TC-DC58B 1.5x screws on to that... with the original zoom lens inside both these ~ maybe I've lost the hood as I do not have it attached ?
That was wonderful to see.....a tripod must have been used also which makes for a good steady shot...I was looking for some camera shake, especially at that zoom length, but saw none!.. The Canon S5 IS is a camera thats got it all!...
hah.. I've got canon S5 IS and you just gave me an idea. I will buy a Tele-converter and I will watch satelite TV from my naighbours :)
