"Operation Homecoming" Excerpt: Losing a Son in Iraq

I can find no peace, I am a Mother who lost her Son. He knew how proud we were and how we loved him. The wake of pain is not easily crossed, you pray but it feels hollow. I hope that someday I will find this Mother's peace. God Bless our troops, bring them home!

wow. u really never think about a soldier losing his life unless it happens to you. you lose a brother, sister, mother, father and your life is never the same. years after the death, you still wonder "what would it be like if he/she was still here?" this really made me emotional. i pray for all those who fight for this country. it just makes me prouder that im an airforce cadet :)

this is stuff is so heartbreaking. but it needs to be done. i heard pbs is going to air a whole documentary on operation homecoming. should be very interesting to watch.
