As far as I can hear, this music has almost nothing to do with traditional mongoilan music - maybe there is some original tune, but it had been heavily over-arranged. This is not the first case I encounter traditional music from Central Asia being dramatically corrupted by chinese media which show them.

@baty2010 the name of the composer is Li Bo, the name of the piece is Da Di, the music is definitively not pentatonic... The sound of instruments is "inner Mongolian", that means sonore and bare of deap resonances. All of that is Chinese. Only the shape is Mongolian. Anyway not to blame the people on the tribune, they do their "job" well and in China people have to do some work for living....

I am a specialist in Mongolian music. This Mongol instrument, Morin Khuur has milleniums old history and this was invented by Mongol men in order to play it for woman. As the predecessor of the classic violin, it has strings made of Horse tail and bow made of Horse hair, in addition to that it has the Horse head. It is also the proof that in Mongolia it is Men that Entertain Women, because the women are deeply respected. That is why mainly men play this instrument in Mongolia.
