Well, I think that at its core this song is about loss of innocence. The chorus (Lace me up, I'm still looking for these angels in the snow) makes me think of when you're young and you need someone to lace up your outfit so you can go out and make snow angels.

same i losten to metal all sub genres apart from like anti christian for obvious reasons im even in a metal bandim 17 and have like been a christian all my life but like only made up my mind for myself like 3/4 years ago then got baptised last year :) but im the same metal is what i listen to practically nothing else

my whole life pretty much crashed cause i was never able to go to school (cause i was not able to carry my inhaler) but after that my mom had gotten marred and that led to 2 more kids to the 5 kids she had and more home school then i had to move to Louisiana and now i dont even have a church
