Weird. I've stayed there before but it is run by Chinese. There are a few sketchy chinese floors in that place too. But the place you book line and stay, is really nice and clean. No trouble. No characters in the Lobby.
I think this aired on the Independence Film Channel or the Sundance Channel. I can remember which. Anyway, I set my DVR box to record it, then I dubbed it to a DVD-R disc. I'm happy I recorded it because it's a very good documentary. I've watch it a FEW times since recording it. I'm from and live in NY (Brooklyn). Always passed the Sunshine Hotel on my way to Astor Place Haircutters. I never knew ANYTHING about that place until I watched the documentary.
