  • First world problems...

  • I like how the dude starts throwing false laws at the manager about denying customers, yet he leaves 3 helpless kids in a car all alone like its nothing. Plus he waits the last 20 min. out of the whole year? shows how much he cares...

  • He wants to go home early its open till 8 that means the doors close at 8 not before 8.

  • Why the fuck are you buying shit on Christmas Eve get you shopping done before then stop being a lazy ass mother fucker

  • those people are so stupid

  • I heard the manager and assistant mgr got fired for this. It sucks people wait until the last minute to do their shopping, that you have to work late on Christmas Eve, people like these guys are so rude. But the store closes at 8:00pm not 7:30pm so these guys are in the right.

  • If it says the store closes at 8 then it close at 8. There is not a time posted to be in there before. Of course everybody that works for Walmart or ANY OTHER place that closes after 8 want to be home with family. Christmas Day is the only day my work is closed and we usually close at 10 pm on Christmas Eve.Point is get over it and be thankful you have a job at the holiday time especially!

  • Why would you buy all your presents on the last 20 minutes????? Come on!! Why is this a big deal.

  • Rabid American consumerism in it's ugly unnatural state, folks.

  • that messed up he shood get in there

  • wow

  • They really should post the enter time as well. None of this would have happened if they did.

  • wow this is crazyness! angry at wal mart part 2

  • Ever heard the saying "lack of preparation on YOUR part does not necessitate an emergency on MY part?" For your KIDS sake, next year try to get your shopping for them wrapped up a little earlier. So lick your wounds and in the future try to plan a little bit ahead. And remember derogatory, bigoted arguments aren't what Christmas is all about anyways. Just sayin' .

  • walmart is privately owned we can do whatever we want...that assistant was doing what he was told to do his job get over it!!!!

  • Even managers are trailer park trash in Walmart.

  • Because when it hits 8:00 they will be in there.

  • All shops have policies like this, some even close the entry shutters 15 minutes before close. If they let people in until 8 then the shop would be open later than 8 while they get served.

  • they are there for one item only?? i relly think the manager is being a fucking piece of shit, i mean they shud let the customers in for one item? and they are not closed? it wud take them probably 10-15 mins top.

  • @elquag100 Any customer who says they are there for "one item" is lying. These people had months to do their Christmas shopping. I worked around 60 hours a week during Nov and Dec. Despite that I got my shopping done before Christmas Eve.

  • People are ridiculous, they have all the time in the world to get their shopping done before Christmas Eve. I work in retail, and I understand where the manager's coming from. I hate people who try to come in right when we're about to close our store, they know when we close. You can tell how they all hurry to park 5 minutes before we close to get in and just take their time shopping. People are inconsiderate of others. That's the world we live in.

  • What the hell do Mexicans or White employees have to do with this conversation? Good for the manager. It's Christmas Eve and those employees want to be home at a decent time, instead of waiting for these procrastinating idiots to shop. I bet these fools would have gone in and took their sweet time shopping proclaiming they got in before 8 and can stay as late as they want.

  • Lol against the law to refuse entry into a store? Is he an idiot? It's not owned by the government... I hate people like that, I mean it's Christmas Eve get your shit together.

  • @blameINDIA actually she has 3 kids..she was married. he has two. he was married. and they both have good jobs. WHEN SOMEONE SAYS THEY CLOSE AT 8, THEY CLOSE AT 8! ESPECIALLY WALMART. OTHERWISE HE WOULDN'T HAVE BEN FIRED. you're seriously so dumb, judgmental and rude.

  • @zebradinasaur94 5 kids = stupidity and trailer trash. Go back to your hole, thanks.

  • I'm with 3submergedtrees on this one. Christmas is at the same time EVERY year. That's plenty of time to shop. Even with five kids. You can also order all those things online which mean you wouldn't even have to be home.

In short, both parties were being douchebags. Deal with it, move on. Shop earlier. Post signs that people who stay past closing time will be there until the next morning.

  • Good on the manager. People could've went to another store instead of arguing to no end, or maybe even, common sense forbid, buy presents earlier.

  • hahah this dude is my neighbor, seriously fucking awesome.

  • This is redic people should have thought ahead of time those poor employees wanted to get home to their families im pretty sure if anyone else was in his shoes they would have done the same thing! fuck the dumb asses that made this video!

  • The manager wasn't fired I saw him today dumb asses and he was right besides the fact there's no law saying they have to let you in at his level he can technic ly decide if the store is open or closed

  • *claps slowly* You Walmart assistant manager are a God among men for those who have to deal with sucky retail customers. Thank you.

  • Just because the store closes in 20 minutes DOESN'T mean they'd get through the lines in 20 minutes.

And the registers go off line when the store closes. I know because I went to a walmart about an hour before closing for non-christmas items (propane). At 30 min til closing they announced that the registers TURN OFF at 8:01.

So what would Mr Argue do then? Yell some more if the register shuts off before he gets through?

Seriously you'd think they were ruining Christmas *rolls eyes*

  • Then shop somewhere else instead of wasting time arguing???

  • Asshats,

  • that manager need to be puched in the face

  • @farmer123ish You need to be punched in the face.

  • @cobradaddy Walmart probably agrees with the manager and Im pretty sure their are many, MANY, other managers who did the same thing. Shopping last minute might be their stupid unthought out choice but the manager had his choice too.

  • #First World problem

  • If wallymart closes at 8, there's no reason for that ass-man to deny the customers entry until 8!

  • Comment removed

  • it's 7:40 Christmas eve... I'm sorry but WHY did you wait till this time to shop... People who work retail have to close because THEY ALSO WANT TO BE WITH THEIR FAMILIES FOR CHRISTMAS! Stop thinking about yourself so much and plan ahead idiots! If they close the doors at 8 they will be STUCK in the store until these idiots decide to stop shopping... yeah real classy

  • Is it really worth screwing people over so you can save 20 minutes? You may have worked 8 hours that day, but you gotta fuck people over because suddenly your time, which you are being compensated for, is more important?

There's millions of folks unemployed who would leap at the opportunity to make some money to spend on their families, if we could all be so fortunate.

So how is it REALLY worth taking this time to be petty and get on a high horse to punish people? To "teach them a lesson"?

  • @pluckyduck11y Hey. Fuckwad. Nobody held a gun to these moron's heads and told them to stop by Walmart to pick up a present for their kid on their way to their supervised visitation. You can't for one second expect me or anyone else to believe that there wasn't 5 fucking minutes SOMEWHERE in the previous YEAR that they couldn't spare to shop. Drop dead. But go fuck yourself first.

  • @pluckyduck11y Oh and lest we forget, Walmart is open 24/7 for the last TWO WEEKS leading up to Christmas - garnering EVEN LESS sympathy for these assholes. They went there looking for trouble.

  • @MobileTaz That's interesting because it's the point I would make about the employees. When your place of work normally operates 24/7, why wouldn't you be grateful you get to close early already? Is it really worth breaking policy, sacrificing the reputation of your place of occupation, pissing off dozens or hundreds of customers - for what? To save you 20 minutes? REALLY?

Maybe the latecomers have no good reason. But maybe they DO! Is it really worth the pain?

  • @pluckyduck11y Ok, here's the deal. Workers have lives too. They have families and miss all other holidays busting their asses just trying to make a living in this tough economy. The lines are longest on christmas eve and there is no way they would be done shopping in 20 minutes even if it was just one item. We can't stay at work later and sacrifice our only day with our families for some trashy people.

  • @pluckyduck11y Because people like you who have a one track mind, dont think about people that work in that line of work have a family that they would like to spend time with..Or maybe you dont celebrate Christmas, and dont understand the concept of family time during the holiday season..How would you like it if you had to sacrifice and work passed your shift and spend less time with your family?? I dont think you would want that either.. so why dont you fuck off!

  • @EDOW78 Yeah, it sucks when someone get a million things to check out after close, but stores are supposed to account for that. And you're not supposed to blame a whole group of people en masse for the occasional douchebags. I'm sorry, but turning down service 20 minutes before you're supposed to close is causing many more to suffer for what? Is the 20 minutes really that relevant to someone already getting to close early?

  • @pluckyduck11y Of course the employees personal time is important. Their shift ends at 8:00, so they should be able to leave at 8:00.

Once their shift ends, they suddenly have no obligation to any customers.

  • @TheNamelessAccount If their shift is til 8, then naturally they have no obligation to stay past what they are scheduled. So what's the issue? If management has not accounted for the highly obvious expectation of a store to be open during advertised hours, then it's on them. On a normal day it takes a while after close to take care of shit, so how do you expect less on a busy one? Blame payroll and schedule managers, not customers with basic expectations.

  • @pluckyduck11y I agree the issue is with management.

But ultimately, they made the mistake, and this is how management chose to deal with it.

  • The Walmart people are a bunch of Scrooges! Bah Humbug to them!

  • A Walmart rep announced on Friday that the manager has been fired due to mishandling of company policy. The spokesman went on later to say "This was a selfish act performed by an individuals rather than the company as a whole. Walmart is a company dedicated to serve the american needs." true story

  • @xTheGamerGirlx where did you get this quote? i can't find this anywhere

  • @xTheGamerGirlx Sorry, but you're a fucking liar.

  • @xTheGamerGirlx actually that particular manager wasn't fired at all. in fact he was given direction from his supervisor, to not allow anyone into the store from 7:30 on so that the associates inside could clean up the store, quickly and efficiently without there being any form of distraction or a reasonable distraction to keep them from their jobs. so far no one hasn't been fired yet.

  • They should have planned ahead instead of shopping at the last minute. The employees have family, and a business has the right to refuse business to whom ever they like. Including these guys who throw a fit because they weren't smart enough to plan ahead. I applaud this manager for defending his employees.

  • @3submergedtrees How do you know their experiences? Do you know their schedule? Do you personally monitor everyone on the planet to know what they need, when they need it? You are supposed to be understanding this time of year. Not condescending jerks. Maybe the guy needed something he didn't realize was an integral component to a bigger gift he already got ahead of time, like an adapter or cable. Or maybe it was a last minute request by the kid.

  • @pluckyduck11y As you said, you are supposed to be compassionate. That means you shouldn't expect employees to spend their own time working after their shift ended because you couldn't get to the store on time.

Have some compassion for people who actually want to see their families.

  • @TheNamelessAccount That is not on the customer. That's an issue with management. They have someone in charge of payroll who should be accounting for that. Don't take it out on the customer. It is CUSTOM to let someone enter a store during posted hours which state the store is supposed to be open. This is a CUSTOM and it's how you get CUSTOMERS. Where do you get off blaming customers with normal expectations of customs?

  • @3submergedtrees yeah but why couldnt they just let them in and maybe they are shopping at the last minute because the just came to town... or more there are so many reasons so i think its a dumb decion to not let them in

  • @HotStuffSoda The registers automatically shut off at one minute past 8. If the line's too long they wouldn't have been able to buy anything anyway.

only I suppose it's better to tell them "no" first then let them come inside and then see them argue with the manager and try to force them to turn the registers back on (which I suspect the manager cannot do).

  • @3submergedtrees According to the new york times, he got fired. :D

  • @3submergedtrees seriously? you don't know him! he has two fucking kids! and his girlfriend has three! they have no fucking time to shop with work and taking care of them!!! dumb fucking b*****! and you applaud this manager? seriously? hahahaha that's a joke. he can't even backup his own story.

some people don't have all the free time in the world to sit on their asses and blow money. it's called a job. get one instead of trolling you little bitch.

  • @zebradinasaur94 Who cares if they have that many kids? Shouldn't have fucked like bunny rabbits than! Walmart is a busy store and they probably already had a line up that they knew would take a while to get through. Why should they stay late Christmas Eve for those customers lack of organization? They have families to get home to as well, if people leave Christmas Shopping up till the 24th that is their own stupid misfortune, i mean come ON you had all year to do it?

    Those people were IDIOTS.

  • @blameINDIA it doesnt mean they fucked like bunnies, idiot. you seriously don't know shit. that guy got fired. i wonder why?! hahaha cunt.

  • @zebradinasaur94 Obviously they did with that many kids. Woman should have kept her skank legs closed.

  • @zebradinasaur94 Obviously you don't work in retail (or know how to use capitalization, but that's a whole other story). When somewhere closes at 8, it means customers should be GONE by then, not come in by then. It's WALMART, a store that in most places is open 24 hours. "No time to shop with work and taking care of them"? Pick a time, any time. Where are those kids now? In the car sleeping? I have a feeling that those kids do that a fair bit, so why not go weeks ago? MONTHS ago even? Christ.

  • @zebradinasaur94 I have a job. You should work in the public service industry and maybe you would understand. I do and I understand what it's like. Maybe that manager has children he is trying to get home to so he can spend Christmas with them? Doesn't have time to shop? But he expects to get it done in a few minutes at wal-mart? Common sense says probably not. You're reaching bud.

  • @3submergedtrees your a fucking idiot

  • @sleepingpotato15 You're*. As if your asinine response in general wasn't descriptive enough regarding your intelligence, you should probably learn to spell before you pass judgement on the intelligence of others.

  • @3submergedtrees Kudos to you for being better than everyone else

  • Racist remarks by procrastinating customers...

  • Worked for WalMart for nearly 10 years and the closing time gets later and later every year....first 6pm, then 7pm and now 8pm. Blame the greedy higher ups at WalMart for this. There is no need to be open after 5pm on Christmas Eve or even be open on Thanksgiving like they are. Now the "annual event" is earlier and earlier each year, now at 10pm on Thanksgiving...when will it stop?

  • @cobradaddy maybe these ppl shouldnt have been here for last minute shopping like idiots. Besides that comment about mexicans made him a racist and not to mention the manager has the right to close whenever he wants. The shoppers dont have any kind of rights about that sort of thing.

  • @101aua The mexican comment might keep the news stations from taking it and blasting Walmart for this guys actions, that shouldnt have been said, but lots of people shop last min. its their choice not yours. Walmart makes the hours not Joe blow standing by the door not letting people shop durning open hours.

  • oh god this quote - "I've now been talking to you long enough to get the gift" - haha well maybe if you weren't talking you could have found a different store to shop at.

  • Wah Wah Wah Wah - these shoppers are such assholes. Posted times don't necessarily mean a shop HAS to be open. The shop is still private property - the management can close whenever they want. They probably closed the store early to get the people already inside out of the store by 8:00 so the staff could be with their families earlier on X-mas eve ... ugh - I hate self-entitled people.

  • Dumb asses! How stupid can you be to go shopping for gifts on christmas eve at 07.40 pm when the store closes at 08.00 pm.

  • @ajnode Apparently someone's never worked retail. Everyone leaves by that set time. If not, you'd have people walking in a few minutes before closing and not leaving until long after closing. Sir, I actually have an understanding of "reality".

  • Right to shop? It isnt a matter if civil rights! Walmart or any other privately owned business has the right to refuse service/ entry @ their own discretion. These "people" are demanding respect with disrespect, how does that make sense?! As a manager in retail you usually test the water with situations like these and if someone demonstrates courtesy i usually accomodate their needs. At that point there was no way the manager was going to let hostile "people"inside.

  • Dont HAVE to let them in...but business-wise its utterly stupid not to...they just lose customers 1 by 1, because of stuff like this ;P

  • @Kelly8955 People go to walmart for prices not customer service.

  • What is the biggest, most popular, and frequented place for criminals??

    WALMART!!

yeah!! wohoo, time to go to Wal-Mart, and bring my 35 kids and food stamps, no green card, no problem, don't know where my meximelt kids are, no problem!!

Walmart is heave for illegal mexicans, because they know they can act like themselves, worthless sacks of shit stained underwear, and let their kids run around like it's an amusement park.

Walmart needs to move to Mexico with the rest of the illegals wetbacks!

  • @mrdoitup78 LOL! it sounds like you are late for your KKK rally...don't get your hood in a bunch...as much as you hate to realize it Mexicans already own this country and pretty soon your racist ass is going to have to learn to speak Spanish and your children's children will be brown and their last name will be Rodriguez/Hernandez/Martinez :-)))...face it...we are EVERYWHERE and as much as you pout, kick, and scream you are not getting rid of us...thank your White politicians at for that :-)))

  • @ECHO3GONZO You're fucking stupid dude. You completely missed the whole concept of the video.

Get the fuck out of here with your idiocy.

  • @ShadymanXBL HAHAHAHAHA...Another idiot who doesn't seem to read all the comments...LOL! Where is the love "DUDE"?... :-))) You seem to be the idiot for responding to my "idiocy"...no wonder your handle is "shady man"..fucking moron... :-))))

  • everyone saying the manager is a dick obviously has never worked retail before. The past 3 Christmases, I've closed the store I worked at, and we all worked until 9 PM Christmas eve, watching lonely customers meander through the store and not buy anything.

people always try to pull this kinda shit, it's a horrible thing to do - if the store is closed, maybe u shouldn't have waited until the last second to purchase gifts.

  • Walmart has the DUMBEST fucking people on the planet working there, because they know that hiring fucking morons will make great employees, as they have no other qualifications to work anywhere else, so, minimal turnover.

An assistant manager at Walmart like this fucking dickless wonder, has NO RIGHT to sit there and say, this is the one night....blah blah blah.

    Fuck Walmart.

Fuck this manager, I hope he gets fired, sued, and run over and sliced right in the fucking throat by Santa's sleigh.

  • This is a power trip issue, PERIOD.

The store manager needs to be fired, PERIOD.

For the people making comment about what it's like to work retail and who waits all year until now for shopping, get fucked.

NEITHER of these types of comments have ANY merit regarding this situation, and the people that are supporting this asshole manager, obviously have NO merit in intellect, education, or responsibility.

if you want people NOT to come in a 730, close at 730.

  • ignorant fucks, just because you whine doesn't mean you'll get your way. Most people learn this as children

  • Get a life.....

  • Since when does Walmart close at 8?? I've been to a lot of Walmarts on different Christmas Eves and they close at like 10 or 11. And who the hell waits till the night of Christmas eve to shop; i know there are some circumstances, but still all the good gift are pretty much gone and it just adds more stress to try to find something for the kids.

  • Lol dumb fucks, obviously have never worked retail.

  • hahaha i love the top comments xD

  • this is ridiculous. people have the entire year to go Christmas shopping and they decide to do it in the last 20 minutes a store is open on Christmas eve. That is entirely their fault and I'm glad the manager stopped them.

  • All that for Pringles and a Snuggie.

  • santa must have seriously pissed this guy off as a kid.

  • "You're fucking up my Christmas." Hilarious.

  • The reason why stores do this on Xmas eve is to ensure families can actually get out at closing time (as opposed to an hour later at many stores) so they can see their families on Christmas eve. These shoppers are a bunch of selfish assholes. If getting this gift were really that important it would have been done a week or even a month ago. Way to put the blame for you being a lazy ass on someone else.

  • @PassivelyActive But the time of the few people being paid to be there, who accepted a shift on that day, is not more important than the time of the many who are there actually paying out of their pocket, in turn providing income for the workers. I don't see why some of you fail to understand this. It's basic work ethic. I've worked Holidays and didn't use it as an excuse to cheat customers or mislead them because I want to be on a high horse. That's so petty. Fuckin amateurs

  • @pluckyduck11y If you happen to work in a position of management then I feel really sorry for the people who work for you. You are an ass. Plain and simple.

  • Christmas shopping is srs bizness.

  • F_uckin douchebags the guys at the door! the store closed! the employees also want to get to their families, you can't get in, that's it! and to finish there's a racist douchebag talking about mexicans when he is a f_ucking crazy idiot!

  • Oh there's trouble in paradise! XP

  • THIS IS DISCRIMINATION

  • @notcalebkruzel no it's not, you obviously have never worked in retail

  • i never let them check my bags on the way out, those things are already paid and the're mine.

  • Serves them right for waiting until 7:40 on christmas eve to get a gift.

  • The people who work at Walmart and the people who shop at Walmart deserve each other.

  • Poor manager

  • awwwwwwwwwww- first world pains.

  • @ZebraDecoy you seem like the type that would talk about starving kids in Africa just because someone says they don't like their burger or something xD

  • @DaFawky its ture tho

  • @ZebraDecoy Everyone's standard of living is different in the world. In a third world country, you don't need a car or maybe even a phone. In a first world country, you do.

  • u know these ppl arguing probably could have gone to another walmart. or shopped online. in 15 min

  • As someone who was worked the closing shift in retail on Christmas Eve, I can tell you it sucks and many of the customers are assholes. Last Christmas Eve people were just about refusing to leave the store at ten p.m. when we closed. All of us that were working just wanted to be home and spend what we could with our families, but people come in and stay until they're practically thrown out. And not to mention most of the time when they say they want one thing it's a blatant lie to get in.

  • next time don't procrastinate on important things?

  • I just know of a asst. mgr position that opened up

  • Maybe the manager is trying to let his workers get home to their families...

  • Are you kidding me? You leave your shopping for LAST MINUTE on Christmas Eve no less and expect the people inside to wait on you until you pick out the shit your greedy, undeserving children can bitch about the ipad you didnt get them once they open the "crap" you just bought them. GOOD on this manager to close the store as soon as he can, so that the "Mexicans" working inside can get home to their families. Typical entitled assholes, nothing to see here.

  • @victorplz Your an idiot

  • @cobradaddy He got it right your the stupid one

  • @101aua And that's why this country is fucked. It's a job, you don't like the hours then quit, there's 20 people in line waiting for a job. These people have the right to shop during store hours, which is till 8 not 730. That's life in retail, deal with it!

  • @cobradaddy Any place of business remains open at the discretion of the owner/manager regardless of posted business hours. Most consumers are idiots.

  • @PassivelyActive Since when do Walmarts close at 8? The decision was already made to close at 8 instead of the normal hours. That's when Walmart says their workers can stop working.

  • @cobradaddy You're right that this is the reason the country is screwed up. But it's not the workers, it's the customers. It's the sense of entitlement many citizens have to exploit their fellow citizens, demanding they allow their every want and placing the opportunity to buy and sell over more precious things like personal responsibility and spending the holidays with family. Other people do not exist to fulfill our demands, other people exist to be loved and respected.

  • @ferryisemo You are an idiot. The country is not screwed up because you work retail, and customers are trying to shop during STORE HOURS.

Spending time with family during the Holidays has NOT a FUCKING thing to do with the fact this manager is disrespecting, and flat out being a fucking ASSHOLE to CUSTOMERS.

You wouldn't have your low paying low educational requiring retail job if customers were treated like this everyday.

  • @ferryisemo So if you are a store manager, and you are turning away customers because you mislead, false advertise, and don't give a shit about anyone but yourself, that's ok because it's the Holidays??

    You are a fucking idiot.

Entitlement has NOTHING to do with the fact WHITE MALES that have CASH needed some LAST MINUTE items for "the holidays".

This manager showed NO LOVE, and NO RESPECT to CUSTOMERS, and, broke the law.

People like him, and YOU, that support him, are the downfall-USA, bitch

  • @mrdoitup78 1. Watch your language while you talk about respect. 2. Having cash and wanting to spend it entitles one to nothing. The manager held a much greater currency than the customer's cash and selfish desire - respect and concern for his employees. I encourage you to build up in the wallet of our heart, conscience and actions that greater currency rather than subordinating everything and everyone to the dollar and the selfish ego.

  • @ferryisemo Wow really? Entitlement? Why cause they wanted to go into a store that wasnt closed to buy something? Dont like it quit.

  • @cobradaddy Yes definitely. Go do some shopping, IT'S YOUR RIGHT :) !

  • @victorplz I will, but online cause I hate people!

  • @victorplz if u store states u r open til 8 then u r open 8 not 7:40 so too bad the asst. manager and his employes want to go home u think maybe the custumer who came would rather be home to.and when is it that the asst. manger can decide when they close it is the district manager who tell u how long u r open on christmas eve

  • Maybe if these people weren't fucking stupid enough to leave their shopping til last minute, then there wouldn't be such a problem.

  • This is going to be a lawsuit for false advertisement! Walmart posts in there ad that they are open until 8pm... that IS advertisement, and open means open to the public, False advertisement? If they wanted no more customers after 7:30, they should have posted closing at 7:30. When the 8 o'clock time was chosen, the last minute customers have already been taken into consideration, hence the reason the cashiers are company SCHEDULED to be on there registers until 9....

  • Ugh, such stupidity on here. Look, the reason he wouldn't let anyone come in after 7:30 is so they could check everyone out and close by 8. It works the same way as the bar industry, or any other retail industry. In bars, you have last call half an hour before closing, which means you stop letting new people in, and the people already inside have a chance to buy one more round, finish, close their tabs, then leave. Customers always have a sense of false entitlement.

  • FUCK WALMART!

  • Quit belly-aching and got somewhere else.

  • @csProjectsOfficial he is not trying to close the store early, he is trying to close ON TIME. That is why he is refusing new customers to enter the store. There are already too many customers inside and if more keep coming in they will not be able to leave at 8. This is not the only Walmart to do this on Christmas Eve

  • why do you gotta bring mexicans in this? cmon

  • @gcubed They weren't trying to close early, they were trying to close on time...if they kept letting people in, they would still be checking customers out well past the 8pm closing time.

  • lol was the "customers" fault. its fucken christmas eve almost 8pm and u still didnt get a gift for your kids? dad of the year right there. hell, i got my gifts a month in advance for someone in my family i hardly talk to and a friend i hardly talk to. this guy is a cheap ass, going to WALMART to buy a gift last minute. GTFO dude!

  • This is HILARIOUS. The manager simply doesn't want people to stay past the closing hours because so he chose to deny entry 30 minutes ahead. It's Christmas EVE, you've had time to "prepare" and buy gifts. The manager has employees that don't want to stay overtime for your irresponsible asses to do last minute Christmas shopping. Is it really your civil right to be allowed entrance in a damn business? What made it more pathetic is that the race card was brought up...pathetic.

  • Having worked retail for years I can tell you that the goal is to have the doors LOCKED and everyone out by closing time. If there were too many people in the store to make this possible then by all means they had a right to turn people away. This isn't the only Walmart that has done this on Christmas Eve. There were obviously too many people in the store to get them all checked out by 8pm. Also, I'm pretty sure the assistant manager didn't make this decision on his own...

  • the manager was being a DICK. Last minute shopping is never a good idea but shit happens. If these people were trying to walk in at 8pm ,then I could see a problem. They made it there half an hour before closing time , that's reasonable. Again the manager decided to fuck over customers.

  • If this had happened in a black neighborhood, that place would be engulfed in flames by now

  • @starguard You're ignorant.

  • @BestTechnoTrance Had he posted about the store closing at 7:30PM instead of 8:00PM, he'd have had people coming in at 7:10PM doing the same thing. Why are you people so unwilling to recognize a lack of responsibility for what it truly is?

  • what wal mart is this ?

  • Is there an unfettered right to consumerism? Well, only if you get your politicians to vote for tax holidays, tax breaks, tax credits, stimulus programs, bailouts and entitlement programs that your kids (or rather, your neighbor's kids since you aborted your own) will have to pay for.

  • I love how they think its a CIVIL RIGHT to walk into a business because of posted hours. LOLOLOLOLOL

  • If u go to any other store before closing time they let u in til Posted time. I went to dollar general 10 min before closing. What is the diff?

  • @MadxMother Not true. I worked at Best Buy for several years part time as we would routinely turn people away 15-30 minutes prior to close, especially on holidays.

  • yo....camera guy, you're drifting..

  • Those jerks should be happy they didn't spend Christmas in jail for breech of peace, Walmart could certainly call the police for that. Seems some of the law scholars missed that one...

  • Another Walmart just got slammed on the internet for not closing its doors after a man stabbed his wife to death inside the store. Customers were shopping around the bloody roped off area.

Are some of you actually implying that the store cannot change its hours as the management determines?

Perhaps this assistant manager has dealt with these specific customers before, or he simply noticed their aggressive and unpredictable behavior and was simply protecting his employees from being harmed.

  • Honestly they should let the shoppers in until 8:00, but at 8:00 you close the cashiers.

  • Every one saying they have a "legal right to enter" doesn't know what they're talking about. Wallmart isn't a public place, its a privately owned business. They can turn down entrance to any one at any time.

  • you can complain about having to work an extra hour even after closing time but the fact of the matter is that legally they are allowed to enter the building before the posted time. The customers may be in and out in a few minutes and as for the assistant manager denying the customers a right to shop while the store is still open to the public technically it is a poor for business.

  • Maybe if you had done your shopping earlier you wouldn't have had to come to Walmart 20 min before. I can't stand people like this, they think they're entitled to everything when thats not true at all. Maybe next year your dumbass wont wait till the last minute. Idiot.

  • @whitneychan2005 And they are entitled to shop before 8:00 incase you didn't realise

  • @JonathanCross23 No they are not it is a privately owned business and they have the right to refuse them if they want to. The manager may have had a reason for why he did, say if they had a huge amount of customers in there in the first place and he knew no one would get out on time. Believe it or not people who work for Walmart have families and like to spend time with them too, I know it''s a shocker right, who'd have thought that they were people with rights of their own?
