  • If OWS was smart they'd project and broadcast on large screen or sides of buildings scenes such as John Doe speaking to the special interest "controllers/ users" around the table in this movie. Or The Capra classic Mr Smith Goes to Washington filabuster scene etc... Get the general public educated to systemic problems.

  • @majik2hanz Great thought! Get to it! ; )

  • In real life, they wouldn't let him him give the speech at the table. They'd call security, but in real life, we have the Internet, the bars and the streets. ;]

  • @buzzclick500

Not disagreening with you. But security was willing to go along with John Doe as long as there was votes and profit.

And if he were part of the Inernet?

  • @buzzclick500

It wasn't supposed to be real life, buzz, even though it was, in a Hollywood way.

American fascism hasn't changed much in 70 years. That is the real focus of scary.

  • This movie is against using John Doe for politics which is exactly what McCain tried to do. LOL. Not too smart.

    Wisconsin represent! I'm from Wisconsin!

  • @americanpolitic1 : HELLO, WISCONSIN!!

  • It absolutely makes me sick to my stomach that Joe the Plumber and Sarah Palin, who know nothing about this movie or what it represents, right or wrong, have tried to steal it from us and claim it as their own.

Stanwyck would kill Palin on sight.

  • You are so full of shit that I don't know how you live with yourself. Barack Obama exposed himself, not "Joe the Plumber." Had Obama not spouted off his idiotic mouth he would never have happened. Who got all the scrutiny about it? Obama? He never even got vetted to be a candidate, but everyone jumped knee-jerk-like all over a guy who asked this clown a simple question, and you fell in line like the partisan hack that you are. People like you make me puke.

  • Well, then, puke away. In case you didn't notice, you just agreed with my post in part 12. Life, ideas, messages and people are a little more complex than one-sentence postings or bumper stickers.

  • @yohannbiimu

This does remind me more of the Obama campaign than anything. But the current Tea parties have the same potential...

  • Still puking? Try not to choke to death in the process.

  • @yohannbiimu

Did you puke yet? And relieve the rest of us of your insanity?

  • @grabit1 The only insanity here is you wishing that someone would murder Sarah Palin. That you feel the need to come back here every few months or so is sad. Everything that you bemoan comes from the top of the political ladder. If you think that Joe the Plumber and Palin are the problem, then you're a moron. BTW, how's YOUR sour stomach? Have you relieved it yet?

  • @yohannbiimu

Stuff it. And re-read what I posted. I didn't say that I wished that someone would murder anybody. It was within a movie context.

Let's make a deal. I'll ignore you, if you ignore me. Or even vice-versa. Then neither one of us will be "sad" for carrying on this dialogue.

  • i love his speeach at the table and the servants are great!

  • Frank Capra's greatest film. As much as I love IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, and as problematic as this movie can be.

It reminds us of what American Facism was, can, and if we don't be careful, can be.

Please switch to the next scenes ASAP.
