The fact that Bush put U.S. soldiers into a situation in which he knew they would be killed makes him criminally responsible for their deaths. Just finished the book. A must read. Laying out the chronology of the Invasion buildup and the complicity of the main stream press. Points to how broken Congress and the Senate are and how they have done absolutely nothing to end the crimes of the administration. There's little question that the man (and his clan of friends) did lie to us. We have paid a horrible price for this lie. The President took an oath to protect this country from harm, either from outside or from within. He was that threat and violated his oath. That's treasonable. The fact that Bush put U.S. soldiers into a situation in which he knew they would be killed makes him criminally responsible for their deaths. No, if you intentionally set in motion a chain of events that you know will cause a third party to commit an act, then you are criminally responsible for that act. By ordering his military to invade Iraq, Bush caused Iraqi insurgents to kill American soldiers. Therefore, he is criminally responsible for the soldiers' deaths. And no, it would not have to be shown that Bush wanted Iraqis to kill American soldiers, only that he caused them to.

We are at a critical time in our history. Why in the world has Congress allowed this to go on and on without impeachment? I just read the book. No one who reads this book can come away with anything but outrage against the frat boy war dodger boy president and what he has done to bring down our nation. Our soldiers (of which I was one) did not fight in Iraq for America. They did not fight for our freedom. They fought for Bush and Cheney. That is all. They fought for a lie and they fought in vain.

I don't care whether or not Bugliosi's book is a cynical ploy to make money from the outrage and frustration of those of us who stubbornly believe in the American Fantasy we were all sold. I'm buying it anyway, because I believe in it's premise. Bush IS a mass murderer, war profiteer and a traitor of the highest order, and the American people, their corrupt representatives and their media who enabled this shit need to have their noses rubbed in it.

Just finished the book. A must read. Laying out the chronology of the Invasion buildup and the complicity of the main stream press. Points to how broken Congress and the Senate are and how they have done absolutely nothing to end the crimes of the administration. Sadly, America is slipping and unless we do something collectively we will continue to fall. We need to stop using war as an instrument of peace. There are other ways.

Well, there may be some other form of justice that is not in our control. That other form may not appear fair to us mortals. But what we mortals do have is the Law. I'm pretty sure members of the administration can be prosecuted in theory, including Bush. But the process leading toward the Law is a political one, and the laws of politics you might as well call by another name.
