I assume that the main personage depicted in the accompanying slide show represents Lord Shiva. And in most every case he is depicted as having a cobra (snake) wrapped around his neck. Please tell me what this is supposed to signify.

That in brief signifies the kundalini which is like a coiled serpent which runs through the full length of spinal chord..the base is called muladhara chakra..after several years of meditation, it starts unwinding like a cobra opening its hood with terrible force which is the prelim steps for enlightenment..thats the iconinc significance of the snake around his snake..hope it made sense to u..

This is amazing..Lord Shiva has surely bestowed his blessing on Pt. Jasraj. He has sung this amazingly. I just wish and hope that Pt.Jasraj sings the Shiv Tandav Stotra. I want to hear it in his voice. The others available do not have that energy in them.
