Well Einstein Dropped out of college and he was smarter than all you posers. Yea study for four years then forget nearly everything 2 years after you graduate unless you go to grad school yay school.
Legacy kid? Come on you gotta get in through your own efforts there are thousands of people out here like me who may work harder than you but just because you're a legacy we lose a spot. Thinking about this makes me very angry>:(
@taylorswift091196 lol how do you know she didn't work as hard as you. Lots of legacy kids are very qualified for stanford. most stanford alumni would be somewhat familiar with the process and know what it takes to get in. Most legacy kids do not just sit back and relax expecting a free ride in.
@tearitrightup she's being HUMBLE. When she says "volunteering" she probably did incredible things for her community domestically and/or internationally.
How much is the tuition fee at Stanford? I'm planning to study college there. I heard it's about like $12,000. Can you like have like downpayments there?
Tuition's about $35,000 for most private schools, including Stanford. I don't know the exact figure, but it'll be in that range. Room & board, fees, etc. PLUS tuition is usually about $50,000 a year. I WISH it were only $12,000 lol.
Stanford has great financial aid from what I've heard, because it's such a great school with a huge endowment. And it's extremely selective, so getting admitted is very difficult. They call it a west coast ivy for a reason, lol.
the new financial aid program specifies that if your parents earn under $100,000 annually, then you can qualify for free tuition and the only things you have to pay for are room and board.
Also, if your parents earn less than $60,000 annually, you qualify for free tuition AND free room and board.
I believe if your parents earn less than $150,000 annually but earn more than 100,000, you qualify for %30 reduced tuition. =]

She's just a freshman. She obviously doesn't know much about the school yet. I personally think the interviewer's questions are kind of lame..
