OMG I just saw Burton Cummings tonight in Annapolis . HE WAS GREAT .Tomorrow night show is sold out too , otherwise I would come running back to see them again !
Burton, saw you last night at Westbury in Long Island (New York). Phenomenal! Your commitment to greatness is and has always been awe inspiring. Thank you for an incredible time. Live long, stay healthy and prosper, we love you!
This is probably the very best video on YouTube. This just friggin' rocks. Man, almost 45 years this song has been in my head. Saw The Guess Who in Salt Lake City in the winter of 1971 and it is still the best concert I have been to. Eclipses anything in music. Best 11:11 of my year this morning. Thanks, Burton. Yo are the man!
Seen them on the 15 th in Kitchener.....show was amazing...a true Canadian Legend....my god people.....lets get them in the Hall of Fame....it is a travisty ...that they aren't already in it....how much Rock and F'n Roll...do we need here......
Just has to be the best beat ever composed by anyone. Everyone knows it, and for those that do not, well, they don't count anyway. Holy Birthday cake, Batman; has it really been almost 44 years since I first heard this? What a summer 1968 was: just my job, my 67 Camaro, school, my various girlfriends. Wouldn't trade my subsequent life for anything. Benn a Burton fan long before a lot of you all were not even born. Thank you for this posting.

very few new bands play good live, burton is one of the best live performers of all time

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Live album yet. That was the first time that I ever heard this version.
What blows me away is that that album was recorded nearly 40 years (1972) and his voice still sounds so sweet here.
look for Live at the Paramount - that version of American Woman is nearly 17 minutes long. And it ROCKS!

@snowybwm Not quite. The Carpet Frogs aren't the most inspired band around.....leaves much to be desired...
