@funkylilbrain I did actually. When I first read H.P and the Sorcerer's Stone I thought, Hmm... Alan Rickman would make a perfect Prof. Snape, and I was really delighted when I heard he got the part. I have not been disappointed. He's the best thing in those films imho.

@Dreamcatcherwrites Oh I know! I don`t entirely know why that is... I suppose women look for maturity and an undrstanding of women which often comes with an older man. They also seem less likely to stray, and more likely to be devoted, I suppose. I have always been like this, I love older men :) Why do you think a lot of yooung women prefer older guys?

@SupernaturalLover67 No idea really, i actually married someone closer to my own age, but I did look at older men. My reasons were unrealistic though. I think you're reasons are probably pretty accurate. And if - as in one gal's case I knew - she had been divorced and had children. Guys here age were far too irresponsible and she ended up with a guy 23 years her senior because her children didn't scare him off.

@Dreamcatcherwrites Sorry...I can't help but read your comments...actually a professor of mine told me...that a woman usually matures earlier than most men....that's why women tend to marry or date a man older than them. So that there will be balance between the two. The maturity of both man and woman will meet. That's why most relationships that are like this...tend to last longer...but it still depends on the couple....

@didoxina89 You posted a long time ago, but if you never got answered, that scene (00:57) is from the point where Marianne is drawing Willoughby's profile (where the fire backlights W. & he peeks from behind the graph paper to chat w/ Marianne). The Col. watches/admires her from another part of the same room.
